Another week, another glimpse into the intriguing lives of Mehru and Waqar. This week the focus went from their relationship to Aiman, Momo, and Jojo’s association with each other.
Flash-forwarding 10 years later, Aiman remains the same self-indulgent and at times ungrateful person as she was when she was little. Momo and Jojo are trying their level best to keep their requests and shikaytain to themselves, and even though Momo is at the point of simply breaking, Jojo tries to support her and make her feel better. Additionally, Mehru has matured to where Aiman’s appeals/badtameezian don’t even make her flinch. One of Aiman’s dialogue “Aik to is ghar say ghurbat kabhi nahi jayegi!” was so unjustified and it really made me dislike her character, since she is the one that actually gets everything, whereas everyone else has to deal with what they have, which is basically nothing. At this point, Waqar decides to go overseas for work, and he gives Mehru permission to handle Aiman in any way whatsoever, along with making Mehru the owner of the house (financially). I feel like Mehru has a hidden motive behind that, besides securing her self, but let’s see.
One thing I do love is the father-daughter relationship between Waqar and Aiman. It was quite saddening when Waqar was leaving and Aiman was so distressed. That scene was byfar my favorite in this episode.
I’m actually still not being able to decide between who’s right or wrong. Mehru, Momo, Jojo, and Babur have dealt with the unfairness, as I’ll call it, for years, and Aiman was getting whatever she wanted. But now, I do feel bad for Aiman since she’s kind of all alone in this situation, and Mehru is being a bit too strict. It leaves me in a dilemma to pick a side!
Lastly, just wanted to add how great the cast is doing! They definitely have done justice to their characters, along with Aiza Khan, Faisal Rehman, Sania Saeed, and all the others that made their entry today!
I actually am thrilled to watch the next episode, because I want to see how Aiman is going to deal with the situations that arise. Great episode!
