The maid needs to go away. Enough said.
So, another week, another new episode of Zard Mausam. At this point, I can kind of see where the story is going. We saw many aspects that the viewers were left guessing about in the previous episode, unravel this week.
Firstly, can I just talk about Waqar and his daughter for a second? This guy is unknowingly spoiling his daughter to a point where she will rely on him for every single thing. Obviously, with the summary HUM TV has given us, that’s how the story is supposed to move on, but regardless, it should be a bit more….realistic? I can’t exactly find the exact word, but spoiled daughters don’t exactly go around stealing their nanny’s purse and threatening to “take their money” to “go buy ice cream” with. This is another point in the episode that I didn’t understand it’s importance. Maybe its just me, but I cannot sympathize with Aiman at all. I mean, of course she’s naive and young, but I’m pretty sure she should be able to respect her elders. I’m not feeling for her at all. However, Waqar obviously is troubled by her behavior and is the type of father that is trying to “fix” her/give her some attention by getting her whatever she wants and being extremely overprotective. I know I was being sympathetic towards Aiman previously, but I just can’t see her in a realistic situation. The only part I loved was when they went to visit Sara’s grave; that was so sweet in the most simplest way.
Moving on to Mehru, her kids I can definitely sympathize with. Waqar and Mehru are sort of opposites when it comes to kids. Waqar is trying to be nice to her daughter and unintentionally spoil her, whereas Mehru only knows how to deal with anger regarding any situation, whether it be kids or relatives. She’s always just yelling at her kids and that’s not that great of a feeling.
When Waqar came to get Mehru (finally), she was on the verge of committing suicide. This scene was brilliant. I loved how they showed the tablets dropping in the most dramatic manner. Regardless, Mehru half-heartedly agrees into going with him, as can be seen in the precap. Let’s wait and see how it goes from there.
Last thing I want to give props to is the directing and acting. Sania Saeed is doing amazing, simply amazing, and so are the others, but she just really sticks out and is extremely prominent. Regarding the directing, the transition through her brother’s “thinking” scene, to the bhabhi talking to her husband scene, to Mehru laying down and just wondering was brilliant. How can you not like that, just how?
In conclusion, another wonderful episode! Will be waiting for next week! :)
P.S. Sorry for the delay. Had a lot of stuff going on, but here it is! :)
