Zard Mausam Episode 11

Things just keep getting worse and worse for Aiman. If I were in her situation, I personally don’t know what I would do. A strong character, Aiman continues to fight back from all of the injustice she faces through Mehru. Personally, I admire her personality.

Plotwise, the story moved at a fairly decent pace. Aiman’s grandfather receives the locket that evidently Aiman dropped by accident as she went on her crying spree after Mehru kicked her out of the house. Tahir, her tutor, finds out and tries to figure out the connection between the two and why his dada has the locket. Mehru continues with her abuse and malfeasance towards Aiman, and constantly putting her kids at a higher status than Aiman. Not only that, but she turns Waqar, the sole person Aiman trusts, against her leaving Aiman terribly distraught. As much as viewers have been saying that Mehru isn’t a bad character, in my eyes, she’s beyond that. She’s evil. Halaat never leave you to the point where you treat someone like an animal, and the sole reason Mehru is mistreating Aiman is because Waqar left her for Sara, who was Aiman’s mother.

The one scene that made me smile was when Aiman and Maira were talking and Maira mentioned how Aiman would find a prince charming regardless of the suffering she’s going through. At least it’s not only the viewers that can render the parallelism of this drama to Cinderella, but it’s the characters in it can see that, too. It also made me smile because after all this time, we got to see a glimpse of Aiman be her old, carefree self. It was more of a restoring scene.

Dada’s character is a bit more of a character who is sweet on the inside, but puts up a front which makes him seem really grumpy. Assuming that Sara was his daughter (which I’m sure that the drama is hinting that), she ran away to be with Waqar which left him in alot of pain. His daughter had left him like that, which is why I felt like he was saying the things about “sagi aulad”. He was referring to how Sara left him distraught.

Even though the promo for the next episode seems quite intense, this episode didn’t fail in delivering wonderfully. The scenes were short, concise, and to the point. I’m anxious to see how Aiman finally takes a stand against her. I feel like the attitude she’s put up is that she’s got nothing left to lose. Mehru’s going to deserve everything she gets. As I said in the comment for the previous review, my sympathies for her are nonexistent. Also, a romance seems to be blooming for Aiman, but the question is: will it be for the better or worse?

In conclusion, a simply wonderful episode! I love episodes that leave you wanting more! Will be waiting for next week! Who do you think is right – Mehru or Aiman? Leave your comments below :)
