So it’s over. 18 episodes= 4.5 months and if we calculate the number of hours we have spent watching this serial then its crazy, okay now don’t start calculating it’s a not the review of “ are you smarter than a 5th grader” its about Vasl. Since years we have been rating serial in terms of either good or bad, we will call it hit or a flop however now we have another criteria, Vasl , for years to come we judge every serial thinking “Is this serial better than Vasl “and I already know the answer to most of them :)
It’s been a long yet joyful journey for all of us, we have laughed with the serial, enjoyed the family bounding, discussed about each character, even the minor detail has been talked about .which makes me feel proud about our viewer and the intelligence level we all share. I still remember I ran small debate about Vasl VS (another drama) and the majority of us were for VASL .Most of the readers on this blog gave valid response and showed confidence about VASL and thanks to the creative team they have pulled out an epic serial.
Normally ,end mein sab kuch theek hojata hai, so yes it did end up as most of us expected however I will be very very honest. The 3 ka tarka duo made me clueless 10 minutes just before the end. And I will be very very honest, I consider myself intelligent oh yes I do :P and there is a reason to it, an ordinary story doesn’t fancy me at all. I have been fairly successful l in predicting the end for most of the dramas, and I knew she would go to Salman, Which she should have , when I was watching It I was saying to myself this isn’t right if she doesn’t go to Salman then there would be something missing and then the story took another twist.okay more on that later. Let’s talk about VASL episodes 18.
I am going to talk about Adnan siddiqui. We all hated him right? Who likes him? May be 1 or 2, but I do . Okay before any one of you starts yelling at me. Let me tell you why, hashim wasn’t a bad person he was just selfish, weak, manipulative, cunning and moqa parast. So why do I like him? This will be interesting, look around, don’t you think hashim is a REAL male character from our society? 60% of the male are like Hashim, most of the females in our society would live with the way their husband treats them , so in no way Hashim was a bad person he was just a human being, that’s the way he was thought being a subcontinent male. Adnan has done a brilliant job in portraying a character that we know exist s, we hate yet accept him in every form.
The last episode was all about Ayesha’s brilliant acting, its really hard for me to actually pick whom should I comment more, but no doubt Ayesha’s acting had the breath taking capability . The initial scenes where she was in the middle of Salman and hasim was something that was no less then a see saw stuff. Ek taraf hashim ek taraf Salman, kya karey abb and that’s exactly what the director wanted to portray,wonderfull stuff. Her interaction with both the male characters was simply mind blowing, the helpless yet the wounded tigress expressions were something that only she could have portrayed. However the best scene I liked was when sohni walks up to her when she is leaving, and she caress her, and embrace her and comfort her.top notch!!
Sohni, What can I say about this wonderful new talent we have, and I will have to praise the director as well as the writer for developing her character. The reason why I say this is because I noticed that the best dialogues were given to her in this episode and Sohni no doubt did full justice to it, the pain in her eyes when she says it to Hashim” maa say nafrat kerna kitna mushkil hai” and later when she says”Zee bhi meri trah ban jaye gi” was something that shock me, I don’t know about others but yes I am a fan now, and I will look forward for her next performance.
Okay lets talk about the last 10 minutes.. And this is what I was saying to myself, Salman you are not a sissy character anymore, Be a man go and get her and dam He did it.. Just like a Ferocious lion who roars and gets back to get what belongs to him, He came back strong and got Hina back.I Think this is the perfect ending there couldn’t have been any other ending besides this one. Vasl has hit the sweetest chord in Pakistani viewer’s heart and I don’t think it will be easy for the director as well as the writer to beat their own record.
