Although the story is full of clichés & predictable yet it’s a good watch mainly because of direction and acting.
Firstly, in these two episodes we get a pretty nice insight into Zarbab & Javeria. Despite of the fact that Zarbab really loves Javeria, he is neither a rebellious nor a confident man. He doesn’t have enough courage to speak to her mother about his marriage. Whereas Javeria is an outspoken & confident girl who makes it very clear to him that she will never let herself be used and will not leave Zarabab at any cost. His siblings are bolder & makes fun of their eldest brother of being such a fool. He was tensed & in pressure, discusses with Javeria but ends up having nothing in hand because she gave her final say that if Sharafat khala will make hurdles, that she surely does they will do Court marriage, no other option.
The ThaaneDaar Mommy of the season award goes to Sharafat Khala, who’s strong and independent personality can be admired but her over possessiveness and restricted relationship with her children is a serious issue. She is a dictator and gives no respect to the people who are not of her type. I found the scene where Sharafat Khala discusses with matrimony maker about the kind of Bahu she needs very sarcastic and it’s actually very sad to say that’s it is a norm in our society. “Hum Dabaa K rakhein tu UFF bhi na karey”. I am looking forward for the confrontation between Elma & Sharafat Ji. Hina Bayat plays it flawlessly.
On the parallel side, both Ramish and Elma have developed feelings for each other, they are in deep Love especially Ramish. Waqar Ali (elma’s father) genuinely loves Ramish, he is very dare to him and their bond is cute.
In the third installment there are two of my favourite scenes, Ramish’s asking hand from Waqar Ali, a little new/sane thing that the boy talks to girl’s father & asks for his consent. The second one was some exchange of words between Elma & Waqar Ali. The phrases used were so real, relatable. It’s natural in human nature to let down someone to feel superior, not at all a good trait and we should try to overcome.
Nowadays Mankind’s ANGEL for sure is ELMA. Till now, her heart is rose in other words very simple character which I as a viewer never attracted to because I believe every human being is quite multifaceted in real life. Despite of this fact Ayeza Khan made this character quite likeable.
My most favorite character is this serial is of Ramish Hasan. He is bit stubborn, strictly follows his principles, has a welcoming nature and supports what is right or what he wants. His father on the other hand is purely a materialistic person. The conflict between son and father is something to watch out for. Both the episodes showed the brittle relationship between them. Imran Abbas delightfully executing this character.
Hira Tareen as Sunbul a Fashion designer is being introduced. Let’s see what is special in her character.
Dear editing department, for the heaven sake please lower down the background score. It’s so distracting & any normal person cannot endure it. Another thing that I want to mention is SuperSweetFarigh-ul-Baal sisters. The duo only serve the purpose of annoying. I cannot get the fact that in some dramas sisters are so the most villainous sister ever of the protagonist and then we have these chipko type sisters. There is no intermediate standard. :’(.
Direction, acting & Chemistry between the leads especially is really impressive and compel me to lookout it every week. There is an excellent use of Urdu which is like music to ears. All those phrases that are being used are really amazing.
Don’t forget to give your feedback. Until next time….J
