Top Five Smack-Attack Female Leads in Pakistani Dramas

Disclaimer: The following list of female leads I want to smack really hard is based mainly on my personal views, out of dramas I watch myself or follow through recaps/previews. Readers are free to disagree and to add their own choice of characters to this list.

Number Five: Naina (played by Sarah Umair) in Khushbu Ka Ghar

This lady is unbelievable. OK, so you are after your cousin, Ahmed, but heck, can’t you see what a flirt he is? What made you think he would actually discard all the girls of the world just because he is married to someone clingy like you. And what is it with running to your father every time your husband says something you don’t like? Boy, she is one whiny, irritating character who I think should be thoroughly smacked.

Number Four: Shanzay (played by Javeria Abbasi) in Kash Main Teri Beti Na Hoti

I got a chance to catch up with the plot and story of KMTBNT (gosh, what a horrible title!), and I was shocked at Shanzay. What is it with this finger-pointing business? Someone should tell her that when you point a finger at someone, four of your fingers are pointing back at you. She arranges her husband’s second marriage and then raises hell when he spends time with the more amiable second wife. The way she talks to her husband is blood-pressure-rising to say the least. She really deserves to be smacked hard!

Number Three: Fiza (played by Sanam Saeed) in Daam

Boy, did I hate Fiza. Actually, I hate all the portrayals of clingy females who insist upon marrying someone they know are not interested in them. I actually feel ashamed of my own gender when I see such women on-screen. Fiza was loud-mouthed, stupid and annoying and it was no wonder her marriage failed miserably.

Number Two: Sarah (played by Naveen Waqar) in Humsafar

What greater evil than trying to separate the innocent Khirad and handsome Ashar? Enough said!

Number One: Saman (played by Saba Qamar) in Maat

Who felt thoroughly satisfied when Saman was slapped by her mother in the latest episode of Maat? I know I was! It was certainly over-due.
