Sigh, jiss cheez ka intezaar tha, woh aakhir ho hi gayi, Numair divorced Aleena. The circumstance that led Numair to take such an extreme step could have been handled well in my opinion, but as it shown from the first episode that Aleena and Numair are two such individuals, who are not willing to compromise. Numair always thought it was Aleena’s responsibility alone to raise their children and Aleena thought she was doing a decent job as a mother. Aur jaisa ki hamesha hota aaya hai, maa baap ke jhagde main hamesha bacche hi pisste hain.
What baffled me was, there was no regret on Aleena’s face after she left the house, yes, she did admit she will miss the children but not once she pleaded before Numair to rethink over his decision, actually I think Aleena wanted to live separately from him all this while, he after all questioned her priorities. Numair repented his decision because he knew that the decision will take a toll on their children, but I’d wished had he set his priorities right too and gave some attention and time to his marriage and children things would have different today.
I kinda knew Shahtaj will somehow get married to Numair, and apparently that will happen in the next episode. I am so glad Khalid refused Shahtaj’s offer of accepting evil stepmother Asiya’s widower brother’s zabardasti ka rishta. Having stood her ground all along, it would have really really silly of her to get married to Imtiaz (whom I dislike to the core ugh).
The particular had some crisp dialogues and good performances from Shahood Alvi as a helpless husband who at last realised he is equally responsible for his failed marriage and the two actors playing his children. Btw who else thinks the actor playing Savera Nadeem’s mother in the serial is the same age as her (that actor was seen as Salman/Mikaal’s mother in Sheher-e-Zaat), that lady looks more like her sister than her mother. I have only one complain from the makers (yet again, boo), when will the story pick up the pace????
