Another Thursday, another interesting episode of Sirat-e-Mustaqeem. Again, A whole lot happened. There was cuteness, sadness, conflicts and a surprise. If my observation is correct, there might be a new twist to the story. Rabia’s now married-Mustaqeem accidently reveals to Mahjabeen that he likes her but Mahjabeen tells him that she can’t trust him- Rufi goes to Shanzay’s house to meet her father so that they can get married-Mustaqeem’s parents go to Mahjabeen’s house to ask for her hand-Hajji Sahab suddenly changes his mind and leaves, rejecting to make Mahjabeen his daughter-in-law- and Mustaqeem’s mother tells Mustaqeem that the only way he can marry Mahjabeen is by force.
Rabia’s father didn’t rukhsat his daughter, that is so sad. It’s true that Hajji Sahab’s anger is justified to some extent, but not this much! The Shadi was shown the way it was supposed to be, there was some happiness and some sadness. That was very well done. There wasn’t a bharpul happiness because everyone was so depressed. And I really was wondering how and why Ibtasam’s parents just agreed and didn’t react to Rabia’s daring decision against her father. In today’s episode, we see Ibtasam’s mother is not happy with the marriage so my question has been answered.
Even after finishing the episode, one thing was spinning in my mind; Is Hajji Sahab who I think he is? Or is Mahjabeen’s mother who I think she is? This is a shocker to me! But now that I put the pieces together, I discover a strange truth. Bari aapa saying, ” Pehle toh humnay tumhay sambhal liya tha” and Fatima saying, ” Natija kisi aur cheez ka bhugat rahay hain” to Hajji Sahab, Mahjabeen telling her story to Mustaqeem in the park, and then Hajji Sahab leaving Mahjabeen’s house in a panic after seeing Mahjabeen’s mother, it’s obvious now, isn’t it?! Hajji Sahab and Mahjabeen’s mother were in love at a point in history?! They were about to get married but they didn’t?! I think that’s it! I bet we’ll discover more as the story progresses.
Rufi is such a horrible person! Seriously, marrying twice?! I really hate him now! I feel bad for Abida. I am pretty sure Rufi will accept Shanzay’s father’s condition to live in Shanzay’s house and they will get married. I want him to regret this in the future! I really hope he gets punished fro what he’s doing!
I LOVED the ‘date’ scene! It was so cute! I absolutely love Mustaqeem’s innocence. He was so excited over a little date. He was like ” Tumhay pata hai hum jo yun bahir niklay hue hain usay kiya kehtay hain? Date, hum dono date pe hain!” That was so cute! I also loved it when Mahjabeen tested him by scaring him that his father was there. The whole scene was filled with cuteness! I loved it.
Overall, this episode was a very well-paced and a very happening episode. The next episode seems even more interesting. It seems Mustaqeem will act upon his mother’s advice. I am very excited to see what happens. Again, I would like to say that the whole team has done an outstanding job! Almost everything is nearly perfect! The actors are truly amazing especially, Sami Khan and Firdous Jamal. Everyone else including the producers, the writer and the director have done a wonderful job! I think this play is very different from others. It would be nice if it got more attention because I know many people will enjoy this serial if they were actually aware of it. Because of it being on a new channel, it doesn’t seem to be getting what it deserves. Anyway, great job team and I will definitely be looking forward to the next episode :)
