Today was such an emotional episode! It was so sad, but brilliant! Rabia’s daring and bold decision, and later guilt, Mustaqeem’s guilt for not standing up his sisters, Hajji Sahab’s quiet anger, all of it was just brilliant! I am impressed! All I can say is ‘Well done team!’ The way all the actors carried those emotions on their faces, I felt what they felt!
Something important about episode 6, yes, unfortunately, Rufi and Abida did get married. Rufi’s girlfriend was too late. I felt sad for Abida. And Rufi started treating her so badly. In today’s episode, we saw more ‘Zulm’ on Abida. Really? Why won’t Zulaikha let her go to her father’s in the time of need? Why are they so mean? They should at least have let Abida attend Rabia’s wedding!
So, bari aapa came to Hajji Sahab to ask for Rabia hand for her divorced son. Hajji Sahab was hesitating but Rabia and her mother were completely against the marriage. Of course, why would she want to marry a 35 year old person? She’s too young. It’s a good thing she called Ibtasam. I hate how both of Hajji Sahab’s sisters are so greedy and don’t care one bit about their brother. That is so wrong. He does so much for them but the sisters don’t care about him at all.
I am still not sure whether what Rabia did was right or not. I think that was the only way she could have gotten married to Ibtasam but the cost of that decision wasn’t small. She didn’t think about what she did. I don’t think she meant for it to be that way. But it was wrong to just go against her father’s decision in front of everyone and embarrass her father like that. She did feel guilty later on, but I don’t think her father will forgive her anytime soon. He didn’t even attend his daughter’s wedding. How can Rabia (or anyone) be happy in this situation even if she is marrying the person she wanted to? I wanted Ibtasam and Rabia to get married but not this way!
Again, the Rabia conflict was shown very brilliantly. Every part of it was so realistic. I loved Firdous Jamal’s acting! His expressions were perfect for every scene. The way he had that mixed expressions of embarrassment, hidden anger and a bit of regret of his face when he said ‘yes’ for the marriage was just amazing! And I also loved the Mustaqeem and Rabia scene. It was so cute! And it was very emotional. Both of them were expressing their guilt and comforting each other. It was one of those “Awwwwwww” scenes. Everyone did such a good job. You could actually feel what they were feeling. This has got to be my favorite episode. This ‘conflict’ part of the episode really stood out.
Now, there was something cheerful in today’s episode and that was the first scene. Mustaqeem’s playfulness and child-like qualities definitely put a smile on one’s face. In the beginning of today’s episode, When Batool and Mustaqeem stopped arguing, Mustaqeem’s actions were so similar to what a playful cousin does in situations like these. No matter how intense or sad the episode is, there’s always something cheerful in each episode. I really like that about this play.
Overall, I would like to say that this episode was totally worth watching. I loved it! Everyone did such an awesome job. I don’t have words to describe how great this play is. We don’t get to see plays this different and interesting very often. I look forward to more of Sirat-e-Mustaqeem. The next episode looks very interesting. It’s Mustaqeem’s turn now, hopefully. It seems Mahjabeen’s brother will be a big mean villain of this play. I hope things turn out fine. I’m waiting for the next episode very anxiously. Hats off to Firdous Jamal. Everyone did a great job but I especially LOVED his acting in this episode.
