I believe today’s episode’s main focus was Ibtasam and Rabia. There were also lots of conflicts and tension shown between families in this episode. But before I start this review, I just want to say that I am so very excited about the next episode! The preview looks so interesting! I feel like writing more about the preview than the actual episode! Today was a great episode but again, I felt it was slow again. It was like a “Part 2” of episode 3. Anyway, to the review!
The episode started with Batool and her mother arguing about cooking in the kitchen. Batool suggests they ask Fatima for food ‘again‘. She goes but there’s no one and home. She makes her way to Mustaqeem’s room, where she acts extremely ‘creepy’ and finds the bag Mustaqeem has been holding onto for a while until he can return it to ‘the mystery girl’ (I’m sorry for using this for the girl but so far, we don’t really know anything about her). Mustaqeem comes home and finds Batool in his room with the bag. He gets really mad at her and Batool acts the ‘creepy’ way again. Thank God Hajji Sahab wasn’t there. But Mustaqeem shows her! Rabia and Ibtasam meet at the roof again. It’s their second meeting but it seems they are falling for each other. And then comes Rufi, who have proven himself to be very greedy! Getting 500 Rs. from his mother and then from Abida? Really, if he doesn’t plan on marrying her, why does he act that way in front of her? He makes me so mad! And seriously, he has no self-respect. It’s just horrible.
Hajji Sahab’s older sister calls Hajji Sahab and pretty much forces him to take the marriage proposal back. He takes all anger out on his wife. Later on, Rabia, Abida and their mother go to Rabia’s friends Mehndi, where Ibtasam and Rabia finally are introduced to each other. When Rabia comes home, she tells Abida that she thinks Ibtasam likes her.
The next morning, two women come to Mustaqeem’s house to ask for Abida’s hand. The mother is interested but when Hajji Sahab finds out, he refuses to even consider the proposal. I don’t understand why he trusts his sister so much. Rufi will not marry Abida, that’s what I’m sure of!
At this point of the story, every child of Hajji Sahab seems to be somewhat in love. Mustaqeem with “the mystery-girl”, Rabia with Ibtasam and Abida with Rufi.
There isn’t really nothing new to say about today’s episode. But I have to say, Fatima’s patience is really commendable. The way she doesn’t say a word when Hajji Sahab yells at her. She knows it’s because of anger. And I really like Mustaqeem’s character. It seems he just disobeys his father because he’s so hard on him but really, he does want to do the right thing at times. For example, Mustaqeem doing namaz even after coming back home. I liked that.Although Mustaqeem was present in today’s episode, the episode didn’t really focus on him. And I really think the family should consider the proposal for Abida. Well, the next episode will hopefully unfold the story further.
I am seriously enjoying everyone’s performance. They have done such a wonderful job playing their roles. Sami Khan, Firdous Jamal and everyone else is totally into their roles. That’s one of the many things I love about Sirat-e-Mustaqeem. And the OST is so lovely! I feel like listening to it all the time.
Interesting episode but like I said before was a bit slow. But I am very excited for the next episode. The mystery girl will finally reveal herself, to us and Mustaqeem. It seems a whole lot will happen in the next episode. According to the preview, Rufi’s mother has finally brought a proposal for Abida. I think that Mustaqeem will be against it and finally tell the family what he hasn’t told them about Rufi before, that he goes out with girls. Anyway, I’m looking forward to the next episode. I am absolutely sure that it’ll be great!
