Wow! First of all, I want to say that I loved the fact that Mustaqeem can’t hear a single word against his father, even though he is strict on him and Mustaqeem disobeys him many times.Mustaqeem does respect his father, at least more than I thought he did. Another thing that hit caught me by surprise was that Fawad Jalal is also in Sirat-e-Mustaqeem. Even though he just entered, I’m already waiting to see how his and Rabia’s (Mustaqeem’s sister) characters will play out. Now I think I should get on with the review.
Even though the drama is going great, the story seems to be going slow. Mustaqeem is out with his usual “awaaragardian” and goes to the shop late where he meets the mystery girl “again”. Mustaqeem is falling for her hard. Later that night, Mustaqeem’s parents go to Zulaikha’s to ask for Batool’s hand. She, in fact nobody else wants Mustaqeem and Batool to get married. And it seems that Rufi just found out about him and Abida. I was wondering about why he was reacting the way he was. Neither Rufi nor Batool want to get married to their cousin. Hajji Sahab on the other side seems to have an idea that his sister will say no. He takes all his anger out on his wife. Mustaqeem has a fight with Batool and takes his anger out on the “mystery girl” the next morning who came to pick up her bag that she forgot the day before. And that’s pretty much it.
The episode was good but “itna mazaa nahi aya jitna pehle aata tha” I wonder why. I again loved the bond between Mustaqeem and his mother. There was only one scene but I still loved it! Mustaqeem’s mother is a very patient and intelligent person. She knows how to deal with her husband who is so very short-tempered.
” Sorry, aapi, baji!” That scene was hilarious! But I wonder why the “mystery” girl started crying because Mustaqeem yelled at her. It just doesn’t make sense since they don’t even know each other so well. And I’m pretty sure there was a mistake when Mustaqeem’s parents were going to Zulaikha’s house, Mustaqeem’s mother was wearing a red and white shalwar kameez but when they were actually in their house, her dress was blue and green.
Well, there really isn’t much to talk about this episode.
Overall, I liked this episode but not as much as the ones before but I am still very excited to see what happens next in this very entertaining serial. Still hope that they don’t drag the current situation for so long, which I’m very sure they won’t ( judging by the preview) Hopefully, Mustaqeem gets out of this mess.
