Wow! I don’t think I have words. I really want to know what magic there is in Sirat-e-Mustaqeem that has gotten to me so much! This is definitely one of the best works I have ever seen. Aside from brilliant acting, direction, cinematography and story, I know there is something, something else that makes Sirat-e-Mustaqeem so amazing. I seriously wonder what that something is.
Today’s episode was beyond brilliant! The Mustaqeem/Hajji Sahab reunion touched the deepest part of my heart! Both Firdous Jamal and Sami Khan had such intensity in their expressions, it was beautiful :’) I just didn’t want that scene to end. I noticed how Firdous Jamal had that consistent look of anger on his face before but now that same face looks so used to being kind and gentle. It must be a very difficult job to do that and Firdous Jamal has done exactly what the character required him to do. It is kind of difficult to make the “Awwww” and teary-eyed expression appear on my face clearly and today, I had it. I had it all the way from Mustaqeem’s reunion with his father and then the house and later when he kept thinking about his mother. I felt that every second was filled with countless emotions. It was simply, THE BEST scene for me. They couldn’t have done a better job :)I also loved how they gave it a ‘home’ feel to Mustaqeem. The way he was looking around the house, he definitely felt like he was finally home! And I was happy to see that they showed the reunion with everyone, even Rufi and his mother. I only wish Fatima was there to see her son and how much he has changed :(
As we can see, the story seems to be wrapping up now. Rabia is happy in her house, Abida has returned and Rufi is now ‘good’. Batool just got divorced, bad news, but it was her own fault. Why did she keep in touch with her ex-lover when she had a husband? What was the point? Oh well, now we can see where the story is going. Just one thing, Rufi’s change was kind of unusual to me. He changed, just like that? Just because he got beat up? But I am still glad he changed. At least, Abida will have a better life now. For some time, I was afraid Abida might become another Fatima.
Oh!Did I mention the dinner? The way Hajji Sahab is with his kids now is beyond adorable! I loved how he was all cheerful along with Mustaqeem, Abida and Rabia. Everyone forgot their worries and had a great time at the hotel.
Overall, the episode was brilliant. Has to be one of my favorites. it was filled with emotions. Brilliant job done by the whole cast, especially Sami Khan. Without his intense expressions, I don’t think this episode would have been so special. I’m definitely looking forward to the next episode. Yup, Mahjabeen is coming back! But there’s trouble ahead, Ibtasam’s mother for Sobia, and Batool’s khala for Batool, both are interested to get Mustaqeem married to their girls. ‘Let’s see what happens in the next episode of Sirat-e-Mustaqeem’ ;)
