It’s hard to believe it has already been 13 weeks since our journey with Sirat-e-Mustaqeem started. It has surely been a good one. Even though, it’s slower than usual, it’s definitely worth watching.
These two episodes showed the lives of Mustaqeem, Rabia and Abida, each one of them, suffering in their own ways, being held responsible for things they haven’t even done. They haven’t done anything wrong, but their fate decided difficult paths for them. Mustaqeem roaming around with a gang, doing a very ordinary job he’d never thought he’d have to do, Rabia dealing with a weirdo behnoi and a difficult saas, and poor Abida, her husband is such a selfish person! Rufi definitely deserves what he’s getting!
Mustaqeem is lucky he’s like Hayat’s brother lol. He is getting support from him so that’s good. I really hope Mustaqeem finds a good job. I am still wondering why Mustaqeem isn’t going back to find Mahjabeen though! I don’t understand how he can stay calm when he doesn’t know anything about Mahjabeen. Oh well, let’s see what happens. I am wondering how Fiza Ali’s role will play in the story.
Ibtasam’s cousin is so creepy! What is with him? It must be so hard to live with creepy and weird people around. I am so glad Ibtasam will catch Sultan red-handed in the next episode, according to the preview. To be honest, I thought it would turn out to be a typical situation where the bahu gets all trapped and the husband leaves her blah blah blah. I am so glad that didn’t happen. I would have been so mad!
I kinda feel mad at Abida for giving Rufi so much importance. She gave her jewellery to help Rufi, and what does Rufi do? He never did anything for Abida. This is the one part that made me so angry!
Overall, the story is going slow but still has some charm. It is something I don’t hesitate watching but I do hope the story moves a bit faster. Hopefully, it will. It seems that quite a few things will happen in the next episode. I am looking forward to what’ll happen next :) I am especially excited to see what kind of role Fiza Ali has. Again, the whole team acted very well. I kinda wish we could see more of Hajji Sahab because I enjoy his performance very much. By the way, I love the heart-touching connection Fatima has with Mustaqeem. I wish I could see more of it.
