Ok so when the 9th episode of Sirat-e-Mustaqeem ended and they showed the next episode preview, it didn’t really get me excited. And well, this doesn’t happen so often but I found this episode to be super-slow. I felt that they just wanted to lengthen the series. I felt a lot of scenes were unnecessary, especially all the gossip about Fatima. I mean really?! We have seen all that before and they spent way too much time on it when the story could have moved forward! There was a whole lot of ‘talk’ and well, it wasn’t very engaging to me.
The main events of the story were:
– Mustaqeem has escaped to Karachi and he doesn’t have a place to stay.
– Rabia is expecting.
– Zulaikha and Abida now know that Rufi got married to Shanzay.
It seems Rufi will finally learn his lesson now. He just found out that Shanzay didn’t exactly marry him because she loves him. She just wanted to make him ‘property’ and looks at him as ‘just a thing she likes and doesn’t rest until she gets it’. Now that she “owns” him, I don’t think she’s going to treat him the way she used to. That’ll show him! And now, Rufi will now understand(hopefully) how he treats Abida.
I was confused yet again. Why isn’t Mustaqeem worried? He left Mahjabeen at the railway station and he’s not worried at all. He is all smiley in Karachi? How can he be so relaxed? I don’t really understand.
Overall, for the first time, I am kind of disappointed with the 10th episode of Sirat-e-Mustaqeem. The actors are still great but I feel that they could have made a lot more happen in this episode if they didn’t spend so much time focusing on talking and back-biting (and this is the kind of stuff I really hate and I can’t tolerate it). Maybe I’m this disappointed because I am used to this drama serial being all action-packed, I’m not sure but I do hope the next episode and the ones after are more engaging and happening.
