My favorite line from this latest episode had to be, “Wo Log Theek Nahi Ho Sukte?” – Yes Bilal that is a very valid question, Is Natasha “curable”? Will she ever get over whatever happened in the past and see Zeb and all the people around her for what they are? In one of the previous episodes Zeb said to Natasha that she knew that Natasha had learned everything from her, when Natasha called Zeb a “schemer” today I couldn’t help but think that all this scheming, plotting and planning on Natasha’s part is nothing more than “learned behavior”. She probably saw it working out successfully for Zeb all these years so she thought it was the only way to get things done your way.
I felt for Rayaan today more than anyone else. He seems to be stuck in a very difficult situation; Zeb won’t allow him to tell Natasha off, he worries so much for Zeb but there is nothing he can do for her. Natasha remained obsessed with the property that her Mother in Law left behind and went to the extent of going to a peer. Just when I thought that there might be a limit to Natasha’s stupidity, we find out that her foolishness knows no bounds. I especially enjoyed Rayaan and Muneeze’s reaction when Natasha calls Bilal their servant that was very interesting, just the sort of reaction a person like Natasha deserves!
Bilal is such a good father, his love for his daughter (The baby!) is simply adorable. Natasha is too busy trying to take over the family property to worry about anything or anyone else, not even her own daughter. Zeb has been very strong till now but she finally breaks down when both her parents accuse her of destroying Natasha’s life and her own. What her mother said about going out with a ghair mard was especially hurtful. Natasha has successfully managed to turn her father against Zeb. Their parents obviously do not know how to keep a balance between the two kids or how to sort things out between the two. Parents really should know better than to side with one of the kids; what good would that do?
Natasha looked genuinely worried when Zeb ended up in the hospital. Was it because she thought that she maybe responsible for her condition or because she actually does have a soft corner for her sister? I was actually disappointed in Zeb when she made up all those lies about how her father missed her and everything else. Why can’t she open up to Rayaan and share these things with him? Of course right now it must be difficult for her to come into terms with what happened but even then she didn’t have to tell all those lies.
The first part of the episode wasn’t happening enough but Zeb’s parents’ behavior and the panic attack, set things in motion. Like, all other Samira Fazal plays you can’t even miss a single scene or conversation of this play. Amina Sheikh and Adeel Hussein undoubtedly have an amazing chemistry. Any guesses as to where the story is headed now? This was the 20th episode so it should be time to wrap things up.
