OK, I am officially disgusted. Do sons-in-law show extreme nakhras only because their mothers put them up to it? I do know that most of the sons are told “Susraal walon ko sar par mat bithana” and “Aagay tumhari marzi!” And almost every son is told off after marriage that he gives too much importance to the in-laws. Again, I am seriously disgusted at all these mothers. Sheema Kamal has very aptly portrayed the picture of a typical “mum-in-law” in the form of Saadat Begum but I do hope we see some constructive “answers” given to their nonsensical verbose.
Overall, the episode was again hilarious and finally, there was some character development. I feel that in such drama serials where the number of characters are so much, it is difficult to actually pay attention to character development. But now we do know that Masti Chachoo has some past, which he tries to cover up by being fun-loving. I hope we also find out, somewhere later, how the three siblings – Saadi’s mother, Khala Chaklala and Mamu Manchester – are so totally different from each other. Honestly, the latter two are complete airheads.
That said, the only two places where I raised my eye brows were:
1) The hall-booking business: even clueless beings like me know very well that halls have to be booked well in advance. Siddiqui Sahab’s family needs to wake up!
2) DANCING! This drama needs a serious reduction of dancing. After 2 minutes, it gets on your nerves, especially when you want to see the DRAMA not the DANCE!
Nothing much happened in this episode in terms of story – I was hoping the wedding would take place or at least, begin. But it was not to be. I hope the pace picks up next week because I am now really looking forward to the Saadat VS Saadi showdown.
