This was quite an interesting episode. In most desi households, it is usually the parents that decide what field/career the child will choose, their likes and dislikes are given zero importance, that’s quite true in Dawood’s case too, he did what he wanted but his father’s expectations from him were different. Dawood is a typical brooding hero and it seems he has always been this rebellious (re: baaghi) type of a person from childhood, therefore he doesn’t get along with his family. But what is also true is, his parents have never tried to understand him, they never tried to become his friend. It’s good to keep the children disciplined but after a certain age, you have to become their friend to understand what they think and want from life.
Kiran on the other hand is often misunderstood to be an irresponsible girl, but I don’t think her family is aware of this caring side of her, where she helps needy people and takes care of everyone. I absolutely love the rapport that she and her siblings share. The nokjhok and ek dusre ka sammaann karna.
Kiran and Dawood are poles apart and the difference in their opinion was evident in the scene where they tell each other about their parents, Kiran who is an orphan thinks that parents should be respected no matter what kind of people they are, no matter how they treat you and rightly so. Dawood is not on good terms with his family members. It shall be interesting how Kiran helps Dawood in mending his relationship with his estranged family, specially his father.
It is evident that Dawood is head over heels in love with her and he has been a pretty good stalker so far *grins*. Poor guy is often mistaken to be selfish and heartless but no, his heart beats for a certain Kiran Shehzad *grins again*. I didn’t think he would confess his feelings so soon. The scene where he confesses his feelings without an iota of doubt is my favourite scene from the entire episode. The confusion and surprise on Kiran’s face was visible. She is kind of annoyed by the way Dawood has been following her and of course the confession that she did not anticipate. But little did we know, she was enjoying the attention she was getting from the guy, maybe secretly but yes she was enjoying it. There was a scene where Sarah tells Kiran that she will find a better life better and Kiran, “mujhe toh koi lift hi nahi karaata.” Kya pata tha ki agle hi pal main Dawood apne jazbaaton ka izhaar kar denge? *winks* Eagerly awaiting the day when their prem kahani will officially begin.
I missed seeing Mansha Pasha in this episode, I thought I will be seeing her at Zahid Uncle’s place who he is her father by the way, but sadly she was nowhere to be seen. I hope she will be given more screen time in the upcoming episodes.
Mohib Mirza, take a bow, I feel he is literally living the character of Dawood. Be it his body language, facial expressions or even the dialogue delivery, he is doing a fantabulous job. The only thing I am not liking is his long tresses, I know, I know many of you may disagree but that’s just my opinion. Armeena Rana Khan is good too, but I feel she should work on her facial expressions. The rest of the cast has indeed been very supportive. The direction is good too.
PS. I was wondering if someone could tell me what the title means? I know the meanings for the words individually but what does it mean together? And also those who have read the story is it similar to the book or has it been improvised?
