Watching the serial has been a rollercoaster ride of sorts. Despite being the story so good, the writers have kind of disappointed me so far. Yes there have been good moments here and there but I do not understand why they are dragging one track from so long. I did enjoy Sarah and Furqan’s love story in the initial episodes but now it’s about time these two got married, their impending marriage is becoming a hindrance for Dawood and Kiran in taking one step forward in their relationship.
The ONLY thing that I particularly enjoyed in today’s episode was Dawood’s mother’s reaction when he tells her about Kiran. I thought she will be overjoyed to hear that her emotionless son is in love with a girl but I was wrong and the twist i.e. his mother’s reaction came as a surprise. Of course Dawood wants to start a new life with Kiran by seeking his parents’ blessings but from his mother’s reaction, I don’t think they will get married… at least for now and that will make the story interesting provided the writers don’t screw up again.
I hate to see Seemi lurking around Dawood, meri maa agar tujhe kuch karna hai toh kar naa, kya madhumakkhi ki tarah mandraati rehti hai uske paas? Writers are seriously wasting Mansha Pasha’s talent.
One thing that I will never understand about the serial was, why did they cast Armeena Rana Khan in the lead role? She cannot act to save her life and had there been some other actor in her place, a seasoned one that is, they would have justice to the character of Kiran. Except in a few scenes, she has been plain and boring. Mohib Mirza, as always, was fantastic. Now that there has been an interesting twist in the story, I am looking forward to next episode with a hope that it will not let me down.
Apologies for such a short review, but this episode was more of a headache.
