Khalil and Shano are so in sync that it’s almost a sin to keep them apart. Usko bataaya toh usney yakeen karliya? Mein sojaata houn Bi Ji par yakeen mein peer ke din hi karounga! Like Shano, Khalil too is unsure that their dream is about to become a reality. The two of them have struggled endlessly so they’re sceptical about their sudden good fortune. But alas, all good things must come to an end and Shano is horrified to find her beloved Abba Ji suffering a falij ka attack.
Humaira is now a (wo)man on a mission- she seems to have her mind made up that she will go after Khalil and somehow Khalil will love her the way he loves Shano. Humaira strikes when the iron is hot- like the devil who quietly whispers, Humaira convinces Shano ke Khalil se nikah na kar; Abba Ji nahin bachey gein… She convinces Shano that she should go to a Mazaar and take an oath that she will not go ahead with the nikah.
Rasheeda took full advantage of the opportunity to cozy up to Abdul Rehman. I was extremely disappointed with Abdul Rehman who sat there allowing Rasheeda to get up close and personal. Haath chor, Rasheeda, bachey dekhte hein toh mehsus karte hein… Woh zamaaney guzar Gaye… He knows Rasheeda is up to no good, why does he put himself in such a situation is beyond me. Apko paaji paaaji kehke moun ka zaika kharaab kar liya tha Maine…
While Thekedaar Amin (Na moun na matha, Jin pahaar Ka Latha) was being treated by Dr. Masood, Rasheeda used the opportunity to try to lure Abdul Rehman- bhuddi ke saath mauje bana rahey ho! Sharam Karo aap bhi… She can’t let go of her last and thinks rubbing shoulders will ignite the spark they once shared.
Back home, Bi Ji and Khelu come over to visit Shano. Humaira pulls a Rasheeda and tries to get close to Khalil. I feel sorry for Shano- as if she didn’t suffer enough because of her mother, she is being back -stabbed by her best friend. Again, I found it odd that Khalil was in close proximity with Humaira in the dead of the night while Shano was out of sight. Humaira’s sharmaakey muskoraana was similar to Shano. Too bad Humaira is no Shano and I hope she can remember that.
The story has taken a disturbing turn with these recent developments and furthermore, the return of Fayyaz Bhaji signals more trouble ahead. Humaira is working on tearing Shano and Khalil apart and make her way into Khalil’s heart. Khalil Sahab knows how to keep the audience hooked with his brilliant dialogues week after week. Sadqay Tumharey continues to rate high on my list for 20+ weeks.
