Kheltey kheltey Khelu khud khillona bangaya… As if we weren’t disgusted enough by Rasheeda, Humaira has taken it upon herself to seek inspiration from her and will go to any lengths to ensure that she replaces Shano in Khelu’s life. Personally, I love the idea of being in love which is why I was completely smitten by Shano and Khelu’s love story. I convinced myself that Abdul Rehman was a man of honour and he called off his engagement after being betrayed by Rasheeda and married InAyat because he somehow felt that he needed to do right by her. All these years he stayed committed to a much older woman, raised her son as his own and went far and wide for the sake of his family. But somehow, almost overnight, he’s become overpowered by Rasheeda and can’t seem to free himself of her. Rasheeda Bibi ne zaroor koi peer baba Se Amal karwaaya hoga to be able to successfully control people so effortlessly.
The lipatna and jhappis in today’s episode completely felt like they were pulled out of a B grade Bollywood flick starring the likes of Govinda. I get filmy, and all this time, I actually enjoyed the filmi scenes but this was just too much to put up with. KuR Sahab has a uniqueness about him but I think he’s clearly fighting the demons of his past even today. I don’t get the point of his personal story- it’s not much of a tribute but seems more like a very planned attempt at publicly humiliating those he feels are responsible for depriving him of his happy ending. Err, sorry to burst your bubble but if someone was naive enough to fall for the bs that Humaira was rambling on about, he doesn’t deserve his happiness! What sort of a man allows a woman to come on to him and continues to sit and listen to her twisted logic of hisaab and pehli shadi and peers??? I think the biggest flaw in our society continues to be the widespread Jahalat and weak imaan of people.
Whatever happened to Shano’s belief in Allah and her determination to stand against all odds? Ab Molvi Sahab Kahan ghayab hogaye? And Bi Ji is a classic example of living in denial. Na woh apni Sheeda ko samhaal saki aur na woh Apne Khelu ko thaskay se bacha saki... I’ve ignored the many flaws throughout the narrative because I was looking at the bigger picture but unfortunately, KuR has made this about getting even instead of giving us a memorable story. Isn’t it ironic that he claims Shano was the love of his life yet he’s shamelessly revealing intimate details about her family? Burayi pe Parda Dalney ke bajaye yeh Chaley Sab ko ruswa KArne... I think it’s time to quit airing his dirty laundry and let us recover from this incestuous tale.
