I am wondering myself why so many people from Pakistan apparently want to come and settlein America? Sure this is the land of opportunity and it’s better than a lot of third world countries in various aspects. But at the same time, there are so many major problems like nationality/religion discrimination especially as far as Pakistanis are concerned, a high violence rate, plus the job market is garbage right now still America is in high demand as far as opportunities are concerned.
Why I mentioned all this becaz Reema kaAmeerika is trying to explore the same thing. Today’s episode started off with the snapshot of a life of two successful brother’s faheem and naeem Raheem, how they came to America, got residency open their dialysis Centre successfully in small town Pocatello. The best thing which I liked about them was that they never forget their originality which is Muslim and Pakistan. As mention by them “we told everybody that we are Muslims and Pakistani and we never feel ashamed of telling it”.
I myself lives in abroad and have seen so many people trying to hide their originality that from where they belong to and try to pretend what they are not. I really hate it and I think we all should feel proud of what we are, from where we belong to. I am Pakistani and I am proud of being Pakistani.
Naeem and Faheem shown Reema different places and also explained why and how they are so successful. Reema met their family too and I guess it is good to see that no matter wherever you are if you are passionate about your goals, definitely you will achieve it and for this I really feel proud on knowing Naeemand Faheem success.
On the other hand, Reema also explore the life of another person named Mohammad Amir who lived illegally in New York. He explained his life, hardships, struggle and other experiences in New York. He gave message to other people who wants to come and settle in USA that if they are well settled in Pakistan, they should never think to come to USA. Mohammad Amir also explained that he cannot talk go to Pakistan even to meet his mother because he is illegal in USA.
I think this is the big disadvantage of being living abroad. We may get success, money, popularity but defiantly lost relationships and love of our dear ones.
Hats off to Reema for transforming such a unique idea into wonderful program. I loved the program and I hope you all guys agree with me.
