It comes as no surprise to me that most viewers have given up on Mol. With everything that’s going on, it’s honestly a pity that we have sit through week after week hoping for something different only to be shocked out of our wits. I feel like The Loan Ranger stuck on watching this till the very end. Shereyaar se mohabbat na mili toh Shahnaam se karli… Emaan’s sacrifice turned out to be more about herself than anything else. Shereyaar couldn’t put up a fight anymore and went ahead with the arranged marriage and Sajjal proved that she truly is her mother’s daughter. The reference to baasi phool was so below the belt. Sajjal has got to be one of the most poorly conceived characters I’ve ever come across. She doesn’t possess an ounce of self respect. I try not to draw comparisons but I don’t know who I’m more disappointed in- Emaan or Sajjal? Emaan has turned into a psychotic woman who has no regard for her marriage nor does she have the slightest presence of a moral compass. Apni ek khwaish ke peechay sabki zindagi barbaad kardi hai… I was repulsed when she hinted to Rohail about how Sanobar isn’t dependable and how Shereyaar unko chordein gay toh Phir woh sirf Shahnaam ki Maa bankey reh sakti hai… I seriously think we need to reevaluate our priorities. I can appreciate a writer’s need to churn out a story that dares to be different but at the same time, I expect a minimal realization of social responsibility and the impact stories have on impressionable minds. Is the core message here that a woman is entitled to use every means possible to get what she desires even at the expense of forsaking something as sacred as her marriage? Are children the sole key to happiness? Is it acceptable to try and wreck someone’s life to fulfil your own personal goals? I can’t stand Sanobar but I was actually smirking while she gave Emaan a reality check.
As if we weren’t disappointed enough already, Shereyaar took one moment of being on his own to get drawn to his biwi no. 2! I find it sickening to hear awkward conversations that almost always make my mind wander to threesomes. What in the world is going on with these dramas? Oh, remember the incident with Emaan’s medical report? The one that was conveniently left on display for Sajjal to decipher in a matter of seconds? Emaan clearly hasn’t learnt from her mistakes. She left her personal diary on display (conveniently opened to the very page where she plots in all her wickedness how she’s quite the evil witch who’s after Shahnaam)… And this time around, Rohail’s sister Sonia was the one to find it and went running to warn her brother. The one good thing that cane out of all of this was that Rohail took off with his son and wife leaving Emaan devastated…
The promo for the next episode shows that Emaan has another meltdown upon finding out that Sajjal is expecting… Isn’t that the whole point of this ridiculous arrangement? Oh wow, I seriously need to pop some tylenols now.
