Not much transpired in this episode. Shereyaar was the last to find out that he’s set to get married again and his wife was the mastermind behind this arrangement. Emaan feels that sooner or later Shereyaar will want children and at that point, he will have to decide what role Emaan will continue to play in his life. Driven by her insecurities, she plays matchmaker and forces Shereyaar to agree with her views. Haajra tries to empathize with Emaan’s plight- a woman essentially wants to be a mother! As much as I try to understand Emaan, I fail to see where she’s coming from. Emaan hasn’t even remotely lived up to her name- she’s a woman with such weak emaan, it’s almost tragic. I know, I must’ve said this a hundred times already but I was really hoping for something more!
The crazy four were busy finalizing wedding details- the scenes are repetitive and have nothing new to offer. The episode was a classic example of a filler- there really isn’t much going on in terms of story progression but they’ve been dragging on this non- issue leading to a supposed exciting climax. The thing is, many people have started to lose interest since the story is a far cry from when it started…
Sajjal is perfectly okay with being the third wheel- Emaan is oh-so-cool with sharing not just her husband but her bedroom (really?). Emaan needs counselling and divulging her personal issues to the next door neighbour is only making her seem like a desperate housewife. I don’t know why she would blurt out with a man she barely knows- yes, I get her khaali goad, but none of this makes sense. If Emaan was sharing her sorrows with a work colleague/ cousin/ friend, it would at least make an ounce of sense. Same goes for her fixation- if she were obsessed with a student/ nephew/ family friend’s child it would at least be the slightest bit believable. Far more than now.
We finally got to see Sanober- Rohail’s wife and Shahnaam’s biological mother. Sanober walked out on Rohail’s for reasons best known to her and walked back for the sake of his money… From the looks of it, Sanober came across like she was a crack addict- messy, unkempt and desperate for money. Is it just me or does Rohail look guilty every time he runs into Shereyaar? I don’t know what they’re trying to establish but I felt both Emaan and Rohail were seemingly awkward for no apparent reason. Shereyaar is fully aware that his wife has mental health issues- her obsession with Shereyaar coupled with her demand for divorce and finally her determination to bring Sajjal into their lives isn’t just routine. I have to say I’m extremely impressed by Shereyaar- he has definitely proven his commitment to the highest degree by standing by the woman he married and understanding her need for space.
The promo for next week shows the highly awaited shaadi. Oh joy!
