Rastey seh khud hatjaana behtar hai ya Phir dhakkey ka Intezaar Karna? There’s a very good reason that they say mayoosi kufar hai. Emaan has given up on the hopes of ever becoming a mother because of a setback. She refuses to go ahead with the suggested treatment because she has made up her mind that no matter what, she will always be deprived of motherhood. I think that a person’s strength of character truly comes out when faced with an adversity. The way both Emaan and Shereyaar are dealing with the situation shows how different they are. While Emaan is trying to cope with things by busying herself with Shahnaam, Shereyaar is sheltering Emaan from his family’s vicious attacks. Emaan is starting to feel incomplete and considers herself as a liability which will eventually be the reason for her downfall. Zareena and Muraad have taken it upon themselves to manipulate the situation in their favour. Zareena has made it her life’s mission to get Shereyaar at any cost- how would someone like Shereyaar keep Sajjal happy seems to be irrelevant since their focus remains on getting him. Zareena knows only too well that Hajra and Humayoun are extremely disappointed with Shereyaar and she chastised him by attacking his manhood. Doubts can take a toll on the most strong relationships and hearing his family constantly question Emaan’s whereabouts will make him at least wonder about her obsession.
Shereyaar is the embodiment of the alpha male. He’s not free of flaws but he’s definitely a man you want on your side. He believes in equality and freedom and allows Emaan the same privileges. He doesn’t consider being childless as a matter of shame. I really liked the way he defended Emaan and brought up the obvious- if the tables were turned and it was Shereyaar who was incapable of fathering a child, would Emaan be given the option to walk out of her marriage and take up a new husband? And what guarantee do they have that Sajjal will provide them with an heir? Insaan apni zindagi ki guarantee nahin desakta to iss baat ki guarantee me in kaise duunga???
Rohail’s sister is the new addition this week who is trying to get her brother settled again. I think Rohail’s presence is rather forced- the story would progress perfectly without him. Shereyaar and Emaan have no dearth of issues and they would’ve had to confront the reality of how they would cope with the obstacles in their way. I feel Emaan has stopped using her common sense- I understand she’s hurting but seeking solace in a stranger’s home or with his son is not the solution. I would’ve preferred if she had joined a school/ organization and busied herself instead of playing the role of an unpaid aaya to her neighbour.
I’m curious to see how Emaan faces the accusations hurled at her? Will she walk away defeated or stand her ground? How long before Sajjal’s dreams come true? Little does Sajjal know what’s in store for her…
