Hadd hoti hai besharmi aur dehthai ki but I think Sajeela is immune to everyone except herself and her needs. Dil ki jalti veeran si tanhai mein, tu kisi narm se jhonkey ki tarhaan ayi hai… Even though Haider has never shown any romantic inclinations towards Aiman, she has been a positive influence in his life and subconsciously, he has grown dependent on her to keep afloat. With Sajeela’s return, Haider is clearly uncomfortable but he is too polite to create a scene and instead prefers to keep a low profile. Sajeela, however, is a woman on a mission; she wants Haider back because she’s had an epiphany- Haider ki mohabbat ko thukra ke aaj tak bhatak rahi houn mein… Bibi sees right through her and gives her a piece of her mind and cautions Haider of her motives. “Mr. Grey will see you now.” Did anyone else get these vibes as Sajeela made her way into Haider’s office? Note to self- Must stay focused!
Sajeela seems to be getting more and more vicious with each passing episode- Tum kal ki bachi kya samjho gi mere aur Haider ki mohabbat? Chaand ki tamanna karney se chaand mil nahin jaata… khwaab apni haisiyat ke hisaab se dekho… But fortunately, Aiman is fully aware of her haisiyat now that she has Taufeeq Kamal’s name attached to hers. She doesn’t allow Sajeela to walk all over her. Since Haider won’t spill the beans about his marriage, Aiman tries to find out through other sources- Sahir and Aiman have formed a healthy sibling relationship but Sahir is unaware of the circumstances that led to the divorce. What he does let on is that Almas had severed all ties with Sajjo Khala.
Shaheer has taken a very serious interest in Aiman and tries to convey his feelings but Aiman nips him in the bud. She’s devoted to Haider and loves the way he showers his attention on her. Aiman knows how to get Haider’s attention and as she puts it- insaan bachon wali zidd tabhi karta hai jab ussey pata wohh ke uski zidd koi maan lega… A chance meeting at the club with Shaheer forces Haider’s friend Sajid to question Haider’s motives- Raqeeb ki khatir daari kaun karta hai? Did anyone else think Sajid’s character is forced? What was the relevance of mentioning Dr. Sajid Siddiqui is a neurosurgeon- kya Sajeela ke demaagh ka ilaaj karaana hai?
Next week’s preview shows Almas and Sajeela teaming up. My intuition about Almas were right afterall! She may not be overtly evil but khoon se barkey koi rihsta nahin hota and when it comes down to her sister’s happiness, Almas may just be tempted to play dirty. The drama has definitely gotten better with Sajeela’s return and Aiman’s transition. I’m still waiting for the father-daughter bond and it seems like next week will be the first time Aiman acknowledges Taufeeq as her Papa. Will Papa finally manage to flex his facial muscles and force a smile? Let’s wait and see…
