Cell phones- ruining relationships everywhere! Sajeela finally came to terms with the reality that Mazhar and his family led her down a road of deception. Sajeela thought she had everything worked out but she didn’t realize that Mazhar was the puppeteer. He was the mastermind behind her volatile marriage to Haider and subsequent divorce. The news of Mazhar fathering a child was the final nail in the coffin and Sajeela suffered a meltdown. Is Mazhar out of her life for good? I sure hope so.
Aiman, who did little else besides throw herself a pity-party had a showdown with Haider. She questioned his intentions and lashed out at him for his persistence on pursuing her MBA. For someone like Aiman, trust doesn’t come easy. She’s had a tough life and she blames her father for it. Try as she may, she holds a grudge not just against him but her step-mom too. So far, Almas Taufeeq has done nothing that would make Aiman hate her but the past is reason enough. Haider tries to reason with her- Tumhe unka ehteraam karna chahiye and tells her that Taufeeq has a different mizaaj and he isn’t like your everyday dad. But truth be told, Taufeeq has done nothing to make Aiman feel like she belongs- he looks at her as if she’s just another liability- one that he unwillingly took upon himself due to the situation. Reconnecting with an estranged parent can be challenging especially under the given circumstances where Taufeeq had made a life for himself after leaving behind Aiman and his wife. Taufeeq could have provided financially for his daughter over the years but never once did he look back. Aiman would have definitely been better equipped to deal with things had her father been strictly a provider if not more.
Jo jaisa hai ussey waise hi qubool karo; maazi ko bhool ke haal mein jeena seekho… Is this the philosophy Haider lives by? Is this how he has managed to overcome his own grief? Why does he feel drawn to Aiman- a girl much younger than him who he has nothing in common with. Why does he want to be her savior? Haider seemed genuinely concerned about Aiman’s future. Does helping someone else give his life some direction or purpose that’s been missing since Sajeela betrayed him? I would really like it if the relationship between Aiman and Haider remains the way it is- a platonic one. That of a mentor and mentee and nothing more. The beauty of their relationship lies in its purity- having a romantic angle would completely ruin it.
What do you think? Do you see Aiman and Haider romantically involved? Will Sajeela return to form a love triangle? Did you find today’s episode better than the previous ones?
