Can one action really destroy another’s life completely to the point where they can’t live peacefully for the rest of their lives? Forwarding 7 years ahead, life for Arifa seems to be much, much more different than it was before. As Junaid’s patience has just about disappeared after Amna and Arifa’s father’s death, Shameem continues to try to fend for Arifa, which later on results in a not-so-good-end.
After the incident that took place 7 years ago, Arifa seemed well convinced that nothing could bring her back to her old life again. Then came her father’s death, with which she doesn’t seem like she coped too well. The last straw being her daughter’s death, for which in Junaid’s eyes, she is solely responsible for leads to her having horrible suicidal thoughts. To be honest, you can’t really blame her. Arifa makes me feel….impatient. I want her to go back to how she was before and kind of cope with what happened and begin a new life with Junaid, but at the same time, I know she can’t truly forget everything and it wasn’t her fault at all. Junaid seems to be fed up at this point, and you can’t blame his actions either. No matter how much he vowed to change her, he knows his attempts have failed, and hey, why not just give up? The only problem with that is that it degrades Arifa even more. She acknowledges that whatever happened with Hira (her daughter) was her fault, but it doesn’t seem to be enough for Junaid, and he has decided to separate himself from her emotionally. Basically, he’s given up.
On the other hand, the sick man who ruined Arifa’s life for his own entertainment is now playing another game with Amna. All I could think of during his conversations with his friend, mother, and Amna was how low and sick this person was. At one point, he’s talking about how Allah has ‘blessed’ him with so many luxuries, and on the other, he hasn’t given up on doing what he’s been doing before. Just can’t stand him! Seems like he’s after Amna now. But, Amna seems like a smart and knowledgeable girl who knows what she’s doing so hopefully she puts him in his place. (That’s me hoping that another tragedy doesn’t come through….;) )
Finally, Amna has matured so much. Where she was a girl who went through so much, she learns to move on and live with whatever she’s got. This is what I like most about her. My motto in life is basically that life goes on. The world is going to keep moving regardless of whether or not your problems are solved, and similarly, Amna looks like she’s the type of girl who lives in the present. As bad as her past may be, she knows that she can appreciate what has been given to her, and work with that. That’s what really differentiates Amna and Arifa. As bad as things get, Amna moves on, whereas Arifa is kind of still stuck in the moment.
Overall, enjoyed the episode. I love the characters and how their personalities are shining through the wonderful actors playing their roles! It’s been amazingly done by everyone! Even though Urooj had only one scene in the entire episode, his expressions were perfect and I love the way that Amna and Urooj still seem the same way they were before the accident that happened. It was refreshing to see!
This episode belonged to Junaid and Arifa, and the little glimpses of all the other characters were fantastic! Judging from the preview, Arifa might just be moving on which is an event I’m eager to watch. Hopefully, the drama wraps up now and doesn’t drag. I know how other people are saying it feels like a drag, but personally, I feel that the story, spans of time, and everything else have been moving along pretty nicely. That’s all I have to say for today’s episode. Let me know what you guys thought by leaving your comments below! :)
