Meray Dard Ko Jo Zuban Mile – Episode 18

I am extremely disappointed in today’s episode of MDKJZM. I had initially liked the story of MDKJZM, actually no – I loved it. Through all the tragedies, twists, and deaths, I still stayed true to it. However, my interest has rapidly dropped in these previous two episodes.

Zakiyah’s decision to wed Amna to Azam was very noble, but to be honest, Amna should have prioritized her husband and her son over what Zakiyah decided for her. I know Amna tried to decline the proposal, but she should’ve stayed firm on her decision to remain with Urooj. Her feelings are obviously very important, and I understand that, but I still believe her decision to get married to Azam was wrong. I was more looking forward in the beginning to see how Urooj and Amna’s relationship would develop, but seems like Bushra Ansari does not want for that to happen. Sadly, I don’t think we’re going to see Urooj find closure in the entire drama.

When it comes to MDKJZM, I still keep my hopes up, regardless of what happens. I’m HOPING that Arifa points out Salaar and he who basically destroyed her life in front of everyone. In my head, this is how it should go:

-Arifa and Junaid enter the room.

-Camera pans on Arifa’s face and the sound effects make the scene seem all intense.

-Arifa reveals who the man really is, causing Amna to look grief-stricken.

-Cue everyone’s reactions and Amna running out of the room.

-It is revealed that Salaar/Azam/whatever his name is really hasn’t changed, and is still the sick man who just wanted to take advantage of Amna.

-Amna runs to Urooj and he forgives her, and they obviously live happily ever after with Naami :D

OBVIOUSLY, this is an over exaggeration, but I would like something to happen along those lines. However, unlike previous times, I’m not keeping my hopes up too high this time.

I just want to take this time to talk about how perfect the performances of the actors are – especially Urooj’s! The scene where Zakiya talks about Amna and Azam and Urooj’s reaction to that was done amazingly. He didn’t say anything, but he portrayed what he wanted through just his expressions, and that was done wonderfully!

I’m thinking next week is going to be the last episode, so let’s see how it all goes down. Will next week episode live up to everyone’s expectations is really the main question as of now. Looking forward, kind of, to next week! :)
