Wow. This episode was quite a turnoff. Even though this drama still has potential, I’m just not feeling it too much anymore. This drama is unpredictable, but at the same time, it’s getting a bit too exaggerated. The cast is performing extremely well, whether it be the major characters or the minor, they’ve all got the spot-on expressions and actually put emotion in their dialogues. Great job cast, but not-too-great story! :)
Going along with the plot, there’s not much to write about honestly. Naina is trying to get Shazmeen arrested, and after much attention, she succeeds into doing so. Inayah on the other hand, continues supporting Naina just to make sure that Shahzaman doesn’t get arrested resulting in her getting a bad reputation out of that. Meanwhile, Erum takes a stand to bail her mother out of jail. Lastly, after going through another one of his ‘rage phases’, Shahzaman throws Maria down the stairs, which may or may not result into her death. His motive being that he could completely take over Inayah’s wealth without having to deal with Maria in the way.
I feel like the story has been stretched out a bit too much. I mean, I did kind of expect the sequel to be a bit overstretched, but to this extent? From the promos it seemed like the central point would be to have Shahzaman go down the road of his father (multiple wives, wanting a son, etc…). However, this drama being 15 episodes in, they still haven’t introduced any other of his wives. They have shown him to want a son really badly, but that’s all they’ve shown. So, where exactly is this going?
Also, I fail to understand Naina. I just can’t stand her mostly because how gullible and easily manipulated she is. Does she really think Shazmeen killed Faraz and Anum? Although it might’ve been hard, she should have taken a step towards the truth and went ahead to get Shahzaman arrested. And it’s about time that guy went to jail – he’s pretty much insane. He kills like it’s the most normal thing to do. Shahzaman might not have been raised normally, but we’ve all seen he’s a pretty good actor when it comes to covering his faults up. In this episode, that was when he shoved Maria down the stairs and reacted angrily afterwards just to make it look like it was most definitely not him. I don’t get it. Really, I don’t. In my opinion, Naina should get that guy into jail one way or another. She doesn’t accept him as her son either way, so what’s the point?
Erum is the only character that actually compels me to continue watching. She seems like the only character that knows what she’s doing, how she’s supposed to keep everything going in order to keep herself and her mother’s party on top, and lastly, striving to get to the truth. Erum seems like a really realistic person, and might just be my favorite character.
Honestly, I just wish Shazmeen and Naina would patch up, and somehow, things would go back to the way they were. I did like the pace of the serial about 2-3 episodes back, but now it’s just lacking something. I miss their old friendship, and how they used to tell each other everything, and how Shazmeen saved Naina at the end (even though we saw what her motive was for that in the sequel). Still, it was far more realistic than everything is now. Maybe it’s just me, but I wish things went back to how they were before.
So, finally, sorry for the rant…:) But, I’ll continue watching even though it’s not keeping me too interested. Hopefully it gets better? :) What do you guys think?
