Wonderful episode! This episode centered around mostly the issue of Faraz and Erum’s marriage – or as I like to call it “The-marriage-that-will-take-place-but-will-result-in-a-disaster-predictably”. Among the other dramas that are currently on air on ARY, what distinguishes this serial is the fact that it hooks you. It might relate to politics, which many people don’t seem to like, but it shows the behind-the-scenes of politics, which you rarely get to see. In this episode, a new relation was also revealed – Iftikhar and Inayah’s marriage.
Maria is suffering from the aftermath of her mother’s wedding to Shahzaman, whereas her mother is still trying to convince her to accept her marriage. Iftikhar comes to visit Inayah and Maria, and comforts his daughter by getting her ready for revenge and vengeance. I don’t understand Inayah. Why would you hurt your daughter in that manner just for the sake of revenge? It’s sickening how manipulative people can be, not just in politics, but in real life as well.
On the other hand, Naina takes her son’s rishta to Shazmeen in hopes that Shazmeen will somehow accept Faraz’s proposal for Erum. However, Shazmeen is adamant on her decision to not let this wedding take place, whatsoever, and Naina’s secret benefit is spoiled by Shazmeen’s abrupt refusal. On top of that, Malik Yawar finally learns about his son’s marriage to Inayah, and is angered by the situation. Let’s see how that pans out in the next episode.
One thing I loved was how regardless of the situation, Shazmeen tried to explain Naina’s hidden motives to her daughter, and understood her emotions instead of just refusing to wed her daughter with no explanation. It’s politics; nothing is what it seems.
Finally, as mentioned before, I can’t get over Naina’s horrible getup. I mean, what were they thinking?! At least change her glasses, makeup, hair, or just about everything! It looks so bad and doesn’t even look the least bit realistic.
Overall, a well-paced and great episode. The cast has also done a great job, along with the whole team! Looking forward to the next episode! :)
