Mera Pehla Pyar is just getting more and more compelling to be honest. It’s not one of those cliche type stories, it’s just really crisp and different than what’s currently being aired. I mean, the story is just so realistic and shown in such a fresh way that you can’t help but keep watching.
In today’s episode, Ayesha gets a MOVIE OFFER, and though deep down she feels conflicted about the offer to do the movie or not, she ends up sticking to her decision of definitely doing the movie, even if divorce is the answer. And then, she ALSO expects to be able to take Hira and give her all the love, time, and attention she needs and thinks she’ll be able to manage everything perfectly. Unrealistic expectations, much? I mean, she’s not even being able to keep up with both of her jobs whilst being a model, and she thinks she can completely manage everything while being a movie star? Ayesha: You need a reality check.
Hira’s confusion to all that was happening made me so sad, and Tahaa’s reaction was even more saddening. You can tell that he wants to maintain Ayesha and his relationship, but she just refuses to do so. And on top of that, he doesn’t how to answer to Hira as to what was happening. How do you tell your 9-year old daughter that her parents are getting divorced because her mom has too many ambitions in life? It’s ridiculous.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m completely all for “Strive for your goals” and “Do what you feel is right“, etc…but when you see that your choices are affecting everyone around you negatively, then you need to take a step back and think what you have to do. Especially when every single person close to you is warning you not to stick to your decision, including your mother, you need to take a hint. :)
So, in conclusion, today’s episode was just more of showing what was going on and what event lead to another. Even though it seemed lengthy, it really wasn’t because the episode just kind of went with the flow. It played pretty smoothly, which I liked. There were no unreasonably dragging scenes, which is crucial in a drama to keep the viewers hooked. At this point, I’m really anxious to see who Tahaa, his mother, and his father keep hinting to when they talk about the past, and who Tahaa wanted to get married to. Looking forward to it!
