The play is picking up pace and the story is definitely moving forward now, thank God! So, Zara’s parents are not at all impressed with Basit and her mother advices her to be sensible but Zara, being the pea brain that she is, is stuck with Basit for reasons I still cannot understand. Zara gets to witness Basit’s anxiety attack for the first time while they are dining in a restaurant and Aabish walks in. She cannot help but have second thoughts about Basit but I am certain she will manage to convince herself that Basit is the guy for her. Basit is being a good patient and doing exactly what his doctor says, the poor man is like a grown up child and his doctor is guiding him in the wrong direction.
On the other side Aabish and Sherry are getting closer to each other and already one of Sherry’s sisters has issues with Aabish because in her opinion her brother’s attitude towards his family has changed since Aabish came into his life. Aabish has very tough times ahead of her that is for sure. Aabish’s servants are still busy plotting and I cannot understand what they want to do. They take the jewelry out and put it back in when they find out Aabish’s mother is coming back. These would be two more confused characters in this already very confusing story. The scenes with the two of them in them were painfully long.
The trusted servant reports back to headquarters and Aabish’s mother rushes back home when she finds out that Aabish has been inviting a class fellow at home on regular basis. Aabish’s mothers’ first meeting with Sherry was just what was expected, but I guess she is too eager to get Aabish off of her back to worry about these things and Aabish is not the one to back out anyway.
After today’s episode Ayesha Khan definitely managed to convince me that Aabish’s character may just be the only convincing part of this play. Rest of the characters as usual just left me thinking! In the last episode there were two bloopers, Basit slept with his glasses on and the change in Aabish’s nail polish that I mentioned in my last review. In this episode when Fiza burns her hand, Asma is putting the cream on her right hand and hours later her brother is applying it on her left hand…c’mon guys you can do better than that! ZQ has really disappointed me, her character is extremely weak and her outlook has really led me down. I expected better from her for sure.
