You’ve got to hand it to Salahuddin, he doesn’t give up trying to weasel his way into Mannu’s life with his flop attempts at making a difference. Salahuddin’s desperation has made him a self-proclaimed buzurg jinko Mannu Ki pareshaani Ka ilhaam hoga hai... Yeah when Mannu’s daughter was burning up in a fever and Mannu was helplessly trying to reach out for her loser husband, it was her loser ex who was there to save the day! Salahuddin arrived with pomp and circumstance and I found his chichorapan intolerable- be naam taalluq? Like seriously! Mannu may be a victim here of a failed marriage but surely she’s not out on the streets (not yet anyways)…
Jeena continued feeding and suffocating Salahuddin with her advances. Her little tantrum was all that was needed to lure Salahuddin towards her. Is it just me or does Salahuddin treat all the women around him like his younger sister? I never felt a thing when Salahuddin was supposedly in love with Mannu and I can’t see any chemistry between him and Jeena either. He seems to have taken this teacher thing a tad too seriously. Enough of the samjhana, bro!
Since everyone seems to have no issues discussing the lives of others, Jamil too joined the bandwagon and filled Jeena in on the deets. The information was passed on further to Salauddin’s mom… I can appreciate that she wanted to be with Bia for her firstborn but it’s not like Bia is incapable of managing to move a muscle without her mom. Surely she can return to Karachi and keep an eye on her son who’s heading towards a possible live-in (going by next week’s promo). Sigh!
The confrontation between Salahuddin and Mikael was poorly executed. I couldn’t decide who was the bigger bayghairat of the two. Mannu has been conflicted for long enough but for the life of me, I can’t seem to understand what ray of hope she sees in Mikael. Seeing him pass out and mumbling in deliria convinced her that she will make this marriage work? Kaise Mannu, kaise? It seems like her family has finally awoken from their slumber and actually started discussing bringing her back. It’s about freakin’ time!
While Mannu is optimistic about never leaving her piya ka ghar, Jeena is optimistic that her prayers are being answered… Be careful what you wish for, Jeena. However, both these ladies are about to have their lives turned upside down next week… So much for happy endings…
