I think Jeena misread the quote” The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach” and instead replaced stomach with servant. Jeena has crossed all boundaries and has resorted to seducing Jamil because she feels that he has more influence on Salahuddin than anyone else. What sort of a relationship is she expecting where she is allowing Jamil to get up close and personal while planning her wedding to Salahuddin. Maybe she was getting bored to the threesome equation so decided to spice things up a bit and make it a foursome? After all, if Salahuddin can have an emotional affair with Mannu, what prevent Jeena from having an emotional/ physical affair with Jamil? Hum TV was leading the brigade and was applauded for presenting masterpieces like Malaal, Vasl, Humsafar, Dastaan, Mata e Jaan, Sherh e Zaat, Rehaii, Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Durr-e-Shehwar, Sadqay Tumharey, Diyar e Dil, Recently we’ve seen a drop in the quality of scripts and we tried to erase our memories of disasters like Mujhe Khuda Pe Yakeen Hai, Ahista Ahista, Gul e Rana, Sangat, Tumharey Siwa… But it seems like there’s no stopping the gibberish that passes for entertainment. Does anyone bother reading the script from start to end before starting production? Let me rephrase ” Does anyone with a sound mind bother reading the script from start to end before starting production?” I highly doubt it. Do these actors know the progressive/ regressive moves their characters will venture upon?
This bechari mindset needs to stop. We all have problems at some point in our lives. And we embrace them. We may not always emerge victorious but we definitely come out a little stronger than before. And that’s just how life works- you play with the hand that life deals you. It’s not about winning or losing- it’s how you play the game. Unfortunately, our writers beg to differ. And whether we blame the writers for their derogatory scripts or the channels for promoting them, Pakistani entertainment is spiralling towards a very slippery slope.
