Oh boy, what an interesting turn this drama has taken – methinks I actually preferred a fighting Kiran/Mujtaba rather than a sappy Kiran falling all over a strangely-naive Mujtaba.
Overall, this episode again had very, very long scenes. In particular, the Shimraiz-Safina scene could have been effectively edited. I don’t know if I missed anything, but what exactly is Shimraiz mad about? Is he annoyed that Taimoor has given Mujtaba a job in his office? I wanted to know more about the new job but the Mujtaba-Shimraiz scene was drastically short.
Daneez, it seems, is going through the after-effects of a trauma that no one can really comprehend. I found it a bit incredulous that Mujtaba’s speech affected her to such an extent, but the fact that she reluctantly agreed to help Shimraiz get rid of him in the end shows that she will return to her usual self – or maybe not.
Also, what is with Kiran? It is very obvious that she is going after Mujtaba only out of selfish interest, but man, doesn’t she realize that the very things she is doing can have Mujtaba turned out of her house? Or, maybe she wants that simply so Mujtaba can go back to his uncle’s house and avail his riches? (I felt positively sick at her today which just proves what a great actress Sanam Baloch is). Mujtaba’s expressions were hilarious as well. He was totally taken in at her sob story and I am really interested to find out how both ladies and one gent are going to be after Mujtaba’s life.
I will say that the main thing about this drama is that it makes you think really hard about what the characters are doing and why; this is not at all obvious even though it is electronic media and we have the visuals in front of us. I am glad there are no “thinking” scenes here as they would totally destroy the suspense. There are also no previews of the next episode, which mean that we will see some more totally unexpected twists and turns; the drama has again ended on an interesting note and I am definitely looking forward to the next episode.
