Yaar, I am mighty put-off. After watching all the amazing Kiran-Mujtaba VMs made by KPKP fans, it was a little sad to note that the drama is going the Dastaan way and an engagement is as far as this couple will go as well. Long sigh!
OK, the above was the ’emotional me’ writing. I will switch back to my objective self.
Today’s episode was a mixed bag of sighs and laughter. Now we know Daneez is sincerely in love with Mujtaba – but what about Kiran? She is definitely still after Chacha’s money though why she would trust Mujtaba so blindly is beyond me. I felt really, really sorry for her as she waited for and declared her complete trust in Mujtaba.
Mujtaba’s mother, as expected, voiced the typical “Daneez aur Kiran main kiya muqabalah?” dialogue. “Muhabbat dil say hoti hai magar shadi insan soch samajh kar karta hai.” She is right, but this made me a little sad. She, too, seems to be more motivated by her family’s improved prospects if Mujtaba marries Daneez.
Shimraiz finally realized Daneez had played a double game – positively, she said. I had watched in dismay as Shimraiz pulled yet another prank on Mujtaba. But this time, he did not get away without any scratch. Daneez did have the last laugh. It seems the Tania episode did not have any effect on him the way it did Daneez – which only confirms what I wrote earlier that he believes he had no part in it at all.
Will Kiran give Shimraiz a much-needed dose of grow-up formula? I almost fell out of the sofa, laughing out loud at Shimraiz’s expression as Kiran spoke to him in her usual way and reacted to his “call me aap” demand.This was, by far, the best scene in the whole episode, and I am actually looking forward to Kiran-Shimraiz interactions now.
As for Mujtaba, you HAVE to smile at his confusion. He is definitely inclined towards Daneez but he does realize he can’t just dump Kiran and leave her in the lurch. Thus, he is leading both the ladies on and let us wait till next week to find out if he makes up his mind.
Taimoor Chacha had some poignant dialgoues towards the end of the episode. There has been much talk on the Humsafar forum as to whether or not parents know best when it comes to marriage. However, only the next seven episodes will reveal whether or not he is right and whether Daneez, even with her improved personality, can or cannot get along with Mujtaba.
Overall, even though the episode dragged at times, the story definitely moved forward. The sound echo was present only in one scene and the sound quality was much better, with the improved (volume of) background music. So, who will Mujtaba choose in the end? And how will the “scorned woman” raise a fury, if any? I am waiting desperately for next week.

PS: Why the heck does Shimraiz ask Kiran who she is and how come she doesn’t know who he is? Didn’t she tell Mujtaba “Shimraiz sahab ka phone aya tha?” and then Shimraiz told Taimoor, “Main nay uss ki manager ko phone kiya tha. Woh uss kay ghar gaya tha kirayay ka kamra lainay?” I mean, heck, she was working in his factory. How come he had no idea who she was?
