Wow. Today’s episode of Kuch Pyar Ka Pagalpan can best be described as action-packed and extremely fast-paced. After the somewhat mellow pace of the previous few episodes, things finally got to a peak in this one.

Daneez proposed to Mujtaba, and Shimraiz almost proposed to Daneez. The love quadruple is finally beginning to take some shape and form. Kiran, by and large, seems to be out of the picture for now – though definitely not for long.

I spent most of the time today feeling sorry for Kiran, Daneez and Shimraiz. I think Daneez is inclined towards Mujtaba though she is apparently putting on the “act” for the sake of the “game” which we still don’t know what it is. That is probably why she did not tell him she had proposed to Mujtaba.

So far, only Shimraiz seems to love Daneez and for purely selfless reasons. After watching the self-centred “love” of Kiran in the previous few episodes, it came as a relief to know that there are people willing to love for the sake of love. But of course, the question still looms larger than life: who really loves whom?

The episode had its fair share of laughter – I, for one, roared with laughter at Mujtaba’s incredulous expression when Daneez proposed. And his response elicited more roars – “Thank you”. How utterly like Mujtaba! It was a relief to see that he did realize the silliness of his response.

The only peeve I had in this episode was Kiran’s hairstyle – it was alternating between the new one and the previous one. It was new at the beginning of the episode and old towards the end. What is happening? And the scenes were once again too long.

However, the wheels of the love quadruple are in full motion and I am again counting the days to next Friday!
