Another week; another cool episode.
For the most part today, I felt sorry for Daneez (Aisha Khan). She is trying so hard to be nice and to rectify her faults. But apparently, everyone is only raising their eyebrows – of course, this is a natural reaction. If the bully of the school suddenly starts acting like a saint, what would you expect?
Kiran and Mujtaba again rocked the show. I loved the scene where Mujtaba was departing for his Chacha’s house. They both really, really rock together on the screen. Somehow, even though I know Kiran is only “acting”, I still hope they both stay together. Their dialogues, too, rock in a way that make Shimraiz/Daneez scenes seem bland in comparison.
Speaking of Daneez, man, what was with that wiping-tears scene? It seemed a bit forced although now come to think of it, it was probably meant to. I watched that scene with dismay, wondering if Daneez-Mujtaba romance is about to begin, but after watching the departing scene and the very last scene, probably not. Excellent characterization!
I am, however, intrigued to find out what Shimraiz is really planning. But for that, there is another long wait for next Friday.

PS: On Facebook, one of Aisha Khan’s die-hard fans said that she would love her to play the role of Khirad in Humsafar. This particular comment reminded me of Annie for some reason!
Addendum:
I saw the drama again, and realized a few bloopers that should have been mentioned in my review:
1) Loud music. Someone on Facebook remarked whether the sound editor had been underpaid – the reason he/she drowned the dialogues through the music. I agree, it was very, very annoying. The mosque scene in particular is where you cannot make out what Kiran and Mujtaba are whispering.
2) The mosque scene again – what were they doing in the mosque anyway? Is this a real mosque or a tourist spot? Where did Kiran suddenly get a duppata from? (This entire scene seemed totally useless – why wasn’t it shot outside?)
3) Missing scenes of Shimraiz-Mujtaba confrontation: OK, so I am not really into watching a glowering Shimraiz and glaring Mujtaba but why are their confrontation scenes always missing? The bullying one was missing in the previous episode and in this one, we never find out what Shimraiz really said to Mujtaba regarding Daneez. Watching a 2-minute scene would be better than having the characters refer to something out of thin air. This is really shoddy editing.
