We are halfway through the drama already and much to my delight, today’s episode brought back much of the comic relief that was missing in the previous episode. Fawwad Khan and Sanam Baloch totally stole the show today.

I have said this before but will reiterate that Fawwad Khan should be given an award for his performance as Mujtaba in this serial. The way he got talked into the engagement with Kiran, his incredulity at the presents Kiran got for him, his expressions all throughout the engagement ceremony and of course, the way he tries to figure out what exactly is going on in Kiran’s mind was portrayed wonderfully and acted naturally. It was a treat to watch.

Oh, and that quip about Katrina and “Fawwad Khan of Dastaan” was out of this world. In fact, all throughout the episode, I really, really enjoyed the dialogues as well as the fact that Kiran and Mujtaba seemed to have gone back to their original fighting-all-the-time mode. Is it me or are they falling for each other in the process as well? Kiran still seems to be motivated by the rich uncle and his money but I can’t tell about Mujtaba.

Shimraiz finally confessed his love for Daneez in a rather lame way. I say ‘lame’ because it was totally silly and no wonder Daneez laughed. Safina, in her brief appearance, was her usual speak-first-think-later mode. Boy, what was with “Do you fayn-cy her?” Really, she needs to learn the correct pronunciation before she teaches it to Mujtaba.

Overall, it was a great episode. I loved every bit of it. The scenes were finally short enough, and the quality of sound/picture was much better. I am definitely looking forward to next week.
