Another episode of Khuda Mera Bhi Hai once again faultlessly showed the feelings of the main leads of the serial. Although Aisha Khan impressed us with her exquisite acting throughout, I must say that Syed Jibran stole the show by portraying Zain’s feelings on screen. Both the writer and the director have done a commendable job with the casting of drama and of course, the flawless direction.
Mahagul’s unconditional love towards her baby is not only because she is a mother but also because she has been a head strong girl throughout and she has a habit of helping all those in need around her. She did not abandon her child because she knows it needs her help and support in order to be accepted by the society. Her baby has been in this world for a very short period and has already been rejected by all those around him, such vulnerability is enough motivation for Mahagul to help her child that is in dire need of comfort and support. Mahagul’s character has been beautifully etched-out, she is a strong, sensible and an impeccable woman. It is always a treat watching dramas with powerful women as the centre of attention but watching a mother fight for her child is even more endearing since in dramas we often see heartless and relentless mothers who are nearly impossible to relate to. “Tum bhi khamosh ho aur main bhi khamosh hoon, tum bhi soch rahay ho aur main bhi. Farq sirf itna hay kay tum abhi tak confused ho, par main samajh gayi hoon,” Mahagul’s final conversation with Zain before she leaves the house was my favourite part of this episode.
Everything Mahagul said showed that she was no longer in her emotional phase and she was back to being her own self. She did not hate Zain for being disgusted by the existence of her baby and she hoped that someday Zain might accept her baby. I feel that Irsa Ghazal’s character is way too one dimensional and her dialogues are repetitive. She’s an extremely versatile actress and I love her dress sense as well, but the director needs to give her better script to play with. The writer and the director of KMBH have paid special attention to detail which makes it easier for everybody to relate equally with every character in the serial.
The preview of the next episode showed Mahagul returning to her job, her brother-in-law Sahir proposing to her friend Sanam. I am eagerly waiting for the next episode to be aired, how many of you watched this episode, please do share your opinions.
