Khuda aur Muhabbat is back with its sixth episode and I am have mixed feelings about it. The whole episode revolved around the our favourite onscreen couple Hammad and Imaan. Through out the episode Hammad was shown doing everything possible to get his love which made the episode a bit annoying. Also, the story didn’t make any development which made it boring for viewers.
Hammad never bothered to heed to his family’s opinions and didn’t care at all as to what they have decided for him and went right away to Nighat’s place to meet Imaan. It showed how there’s nothing important in his life than her love. Hammad despite being extremely scared and having the fear of rejection, listened to his heart and ended up opening to Imaan. He told her how he felt about her and how dear she had become to him. Poor lad, was extremely confused but he kept composed. No breakthrough happened, Imaan got pissed at this display of emotions and ran away from the site. Kudos to the team for playing OST in the background on perfect timings which made this scene more captivatingly emotional and left the viewers in utter awe.
This episode is an embodiment of two perspectives of love. On one hand, we see Hammad considers himself to be completely loyal about his feelings of pure love and affection, while Imaan called it Gunah-e-Kabira and she can’t let down her father as she says; ‘Main apne Abba ka ghuroor hoon, aur yeh ghuroor tootnay se pehle main khud ko faana karna pasand karungi.‘ Well, the answer is quite obvious now. Nigha told her response to Hammad he was extremely disheartened and set aback because this wasn’t what he had longed for. She tells him that he has one way out only. He should send a proposal and impress Molvi Aleemuddin.
As expected, when Hammad broke the news to his family, they were shocked and disgusted by his decision and refused to go Molvi’s place for his proposal because they felt ashamed due to the huge class difference between both families. Abrina was way too harsh with her words and she oh so brutally blamed Imaan that girls coming from such backward and outdated families often play the same tactics. And yes, Hammad’s younger brother is such a cutie, supporting him all along.
Overall, this episode was quite good but nothing extraordinary happened. What are your predictions for the next episode? Share your thoughts!
