Strictly speaking this is not a Pakistani film  except for one important fact , Fawad Afzal Khan , the Pakistani phenomenon is very much part of this movie.  From the looks of the teasers and promos it seems he has not been given a polite guest role or an important side character but is actually one of the foundations of the story. So with that connection firmly in mind I thought it might be nice to hear what the readers of Drama Pakistani think.

I found the teaser a little difficult to accept at first because  I am just not used to seeing Fawad Khan in such a bollywood frame . After a couple of viewings it all looked good . Sonam was overacting quite a bit in the trailer at least but her last line had me in hysterics . Is it my inherent bias as a Fawad Khan fan , or did he steal the show in both the trailer and the promotional U stream videos ? Sonam Looked gorgeous in the promotional videos and was very confident and savvy in handling Fawad’s introduction . The banter between them was fun and great to watch . I have to say Sonam was very generous and seemed like she might be the ‘real thing’ as in a nice person in real life too. The funniest part was Fawad blushing at Sonam mentioning he has a shirtless scene.

A few years ago no one could have imagined that Pakistani Dramas would be so popular in India  or that Pakistani actors and actresses might become household names there, the way Indian artists are in Pakistan . It is about time there was an actual cultural exchange rather than the one way traffic we have accepted for such a long time.  What do you think ?

I wish the Pakistani Film industry would make way for fresh blood . Most of the so called ‘new” Pakistani movies are either about men with guns or women with problems .There is nothing wrong with that per se but where are the movies that fill our us with inspiration, the movies that move us emotionally , the movies that take us away from  the sometimes mundane realities of life and fill us with hope and laughter ? All I see are the same old faces in every movie ,who stubbornly refuse to give breathing space to any new faces because some how it’s owed to them. Why isn’t new blood being given a chance ? We have no lack of talent so why do we see the same parade of people in every other movie?  tell us what you think ?
