The second episode didn’t have much to offer except that Araiz (sorry about calling him Ariz earlier) and Ishal are gradually developing feelings for each other, both have kind of become inseparable. On the other hand, Ishal’s father and brother-in-law Rehbar are hell-bent on ruining her life by their constant vigilance, interference and dominance.
In the episode, we did learn more about the personalities of Araiz and Ishal’s family members. Like Araiz’s sister Soni receives Ishal’s phone call and she makes a big deal about her brother talking to a girl and his mother joins in and gives him an earful. Actually it mainly depends on the background they come from, it is evident that Araiz’s mother and sister are two chaalaak women, poor Araiz explaining it to them, that she is his boss’ friend but they wouldn’t listen to him. Whereas Ishal’s father’s sole reason for getting her married to Shahbir (sorry about calling him Shahbar/Shahraiz earlier, Idk what’s with such weird names!!) is because he is a rich guy who would fulfil all the demands of his daughters and it doesn’t matter whether they are compatible or emotionally connected with each other. Rehbar on the other hand, is spying on her for some unknown reason. I personally think other than her activities outside the house there is definitely some other reason for him to spy on her which we ain’t aware of as of now.
Araiz and Ishal’s chemistry shined through in the scene where after her father scolds her for lying to him and thereafter Araiz rings her and they go out for kahwa was amazing because of the dialogues, Araiz’s couldn’t hold himself back from subtly expressing his feelings for her. Ishal may come from filthy rich family but she is quite grounded, has no airs about it. She values emotions and feelings. I do think Araiz and Ishal are perfect for each other. Ishal and Shahbir are poles apart and is it me or Shahbir seems quite old for Ishal?
Ahsan Khan was pretty impressive in the episode, like I have mentioned in my previous review I like his witty nature and sense of humour. Mehwish Hayat was okay in the episode, she was neither too good nor too bad but from what I have heard of her acting talent, I do think she can do a better job as Ishal. A special mention for the actor who plays Araiz’s younger brother, I think he is a darn good actor, I love his character. The direction was pretty okay, though Anjum can do a better job.
