This episode was rather interesting, thankfully Ishal is finally speaking up and playing the game as it is supposed to be played, I mean instead of being apologetic before her mother-in-law and sister-in-law she is dealing with them smartly, just the way I had wanted her, the scene where her mother-in-law and Soni wrongly blame her of accusing Soni of stealing Ishal’s clothes was the best scene of the entire episode whereas on the other hand I am so disappointed in Araiz, he needs to tell his mother and sister off. How can he tolerate his mother and sister being SO rude with his wife? She also deserves some amount of respect and love.
The gradual positive change that I am seeing in Ishal’s character has been very good, she told her father off when he mistreated her husband, she may have been very rude but her father’s behaviour was wrong too and it will foolish of us to expect him to now stop trying to brainwash her and creating problems in her marriage. His idea of making her cousin Sunny visit her house (which I think will happen frequently) didn’t go down too well with Ishal’s in-laws. Does he realise this move of him will particularly effect his daughter? She is the one who will be labelled as a loose character by her evil mother-in-law and sister-in-law. One thing that did impress me was the way Araiz handled the situation at the dinner table when Soni and his mother were kind of doing Ishal’s chugli.
I am SO glad that Ishal expressed her displeasure without hesitating in front of Araiz, he needs to step up his game, yes. This is what disappoints me the most about him, kya but (statue) ban jaata hai apni maa aur behen ke saamne? Bada beta hai ghar aur sahi aur galat ka farq nahi samajhta?
Overall, the episode was engaging and interesting as I have already said above, I am warming up to Rehbar’s character as he might turn out to be Ishal’s saviour or is turning out to be her saviour. Mehwish Hayat and Ahsan Khan were good in the episode but they need to do more, I mean they usually have the same expressions on their face which tends to get boring. Direction was good and kudos to the Sameera Fazal for keeping the focus on the trials and tribulations that Ishal’s facing after her marriage.
