KKG ends on a happy note. Finally after 31 weeks, Manaal and Diam got their happy ending and the best part was; they got their ” Happily Ever After ” with the blessings of their loved ones.

As everything else had already been settled in the previous episodes, the only thing left was ” M and D’s shadi khana aabadi “, so this episode revolved solely around that one point. As we witnessed in the previous episode, Ahmed Sahab asked or rather emotionally blackmailed Diam into saying yes … This week Manaal tried to hide her own feelings and convince Baila into marrying Diam…so when everything was said and done, it was the age old tactic of Eavesdropping that did the trick. Baila over heard Diam and Manaal and realized what was actually going on and like a true friend, she did what had to be done.

Few points that I think need appreciation. Firstly, thank you Faiza Iftikhar for not giving us a ” Doosri Biwi ” wala twist. If this serial was written by any other writer, I am sure after Joya’s miscarriage they would have suggested ” Khaandaan ka naam aur nasal barhanay Ki khatir, Moeed Manaal say shadi ker lay ” , so thank you so much for not putting us through that. For once in the history of Pakistani TV we have a happily married childless couple, whose happiness is not overshadowed by their inability to have children. Bravo Faiza Iftikhar, we need to send out such positive messages through our dramas.

Secondly, the vamps in the drama were never ” over the top “, inspite of their meanness and conspiracies they were bearable and their jealousies, planning and plotting made sense, it was justified. All the characters stayed true to themselves, there was no ” unjustifiable overnight comprehensive revolution  ” in anyone’s thinking and personality. Those whose attitude changed, it did so for a solid reason. When Joya was mean, she had her reasons for that, when she trapped Manaal, it was what was expected under the circumstances and when she became a tolerable person, that could also easily be explained.

I do wish however that Manaal was not such a perfect Saint :), ok we get it the girl has a big heart but she never held any grudges, she never tried to get even, she was never ever selfish… please, she is a human being, let her have just a slight bit of negativity , just a touch of meanness, something to prove that she is not perfect cause at times perfection could become a little boring  :) But that’s just my opinion and I could very well be wrong.

The way the entire family ” Accidently Over Heard ” Manaal and Diam towards the end seemed hilarious :). This scene could have been so much better and serious. Ok so Manaal and Diam had this very bad habit of discussing ” dil Ki baatain ” anywhere they felt like it. As a result, first Baila overheard them and later on the entire family. Instead, if Ahmed Sahab and Musarrat had just sat both of them down and had a ” heart to heart ” talk, I am sure the desired results could have been achieved with very little effort and in a much more convincing fashion.

As far as performances are concerned, throughout we have seen wonderful performances by the entire cast but this was Yumna Zaidi’s episode. Her acting was flawless, she is one talented girl who does not try to hide behind makeup and designer wear but impresses the audiences with her acting ability. Hopefully we will see her experimenting with different roles and looks in the future as well.

I don’t really care about them but since this was the last episode, I was kind of hoping to catch a glimpse of Shabnam phoppo and her family, you know just out of curisoty. I wanted to know what eventually happened to Saliha and Shuja, without whom Manaal’s life would have been much easier but they were missing in the last two episodes.
