This was a happening episode. The story f KKG had slowed down a few weeks earlier and there were some filler episodes but now, it’s back on track. The story has picked up pace and I would say We have reached the climax 85-90% , poetic justice is being served and the only thing left is for Joya to finally tell the truth about Manaal, which by the look of things is gonna come out soon anyways.
Picking up from last week, as a result of the car accident Baila became a widow which was heartbreaking, considering she has been the most harmless character in the entire Shah family. She never meant any harm to anyone, her only fault ( if I have to find one ) was speaking too soon on Manaal and Moeed’s wedding about her apprehension about Manaal and Diam’s relationship and their possible elopement. That was her only mistake but it did cause a ripple effect and as a result Manaal’s life became a punishment for her. Still, Baila did not deserve such a severe punishment. She did try to set things right, she did try to meet Manaal and find out the truth only her family didn’t approve.
Ahmed Sahab was already under a lot of pressure since his business was facing one set back after another and then his son-in-law’s death proved to be the final blow, it was too much for him to handle. After a heart attack, he was left paralyzed .
Karma didn’t stop here. Joya and Moeed were still busy fighting and arguing and showing eachother who is boss and in the middle of it, Joya had a mis-carriage as a result of which, she would never be able to have kids. At this point I really wanted to feel sorry for her but the way she reacted at Baila’s husband’s death and still put herself first, was just shameful. She didn’t try to console her husband, absolutely refused to go with him to his home and then decided to go to her friends’ house to avoid going to Pakistan. Does she not have a sensitive bone in her body ? But still, hats off to Faiza Iftikhar for carving this character so beautifully. She is a complex character, who can very skillfully justify all her selfish acts, never accepts responsibility but somehow always manages to paint herself as completely innocent .
After going through this traumatic experience, finally Joya is realizing for the first time in her life, that God is not happy with her. She is still not using the word ” punishment ” cause that would mean, accepting that she had actually done something wrong.
Now coming to Manaal’s track. She finally decided to come and visit her mamao but creepy Shujat followed her and then …Blank. Next we saw a crying Manaal on the bus station where a random lady from the crowd told us and Diam that some guy had misbehaved with Manaal. Two things. What was Diam doing there ? That was a bus station and it was not in Karachi, earlier that day Diam was offering Fatiha on Baba Jaan ‘s grave and then suddenly he was ” on the right place at the right time ” to help Manaal. Also, what happened between Manaal and Shujat ? He later told his mother that Diam was waiting at the station for Manaal, which wasn’t the truth but later he saw her going with him in his car . So, why was he still there and where was he cause we didn’t see him ?
Now guilt stricken Diam is back and he wants to set things right. This is good news for Manaal and Baba Jaan’s business but first he is gonna have to prove his and Manaal’s innocence. Musarrat and Moeed are gonna give him a tough time but since Joya isn’t her selfish and bossy self and Rahat is busy taking care of her daughter, these people might get a chance to sit down and talk. If that happens, hopefully all the misunderstandings would be resolved and Manaal’s position would be cleared.
By the pace of the story, I think the drama would end by the 30th episode. The only thing I am waiting for, other than ” Manaal and Diam’s happily ever after ” is to see what happens to Shuja at the end and will he divorce Manaal or is she gonna become a widow .
