Three months have passed since Baba Jaan passed away. In this time Manaal, Shujat, Moeed, Baila and Joya got married but it’s only Baila who has been blessed with marital bliss. Shujat is the husband from Hell and Joya and Moeed are constantly creating issues and arguing.

Call it Karma, Mukaafta-e-Amal or mazloom Ki aah…ever since Manal’s family kicked her out of her grandfather’s house, peace and tranquility has also left their lives. Ahmed sahab did not inherit baba Jaan’s business sense, as expected his business is facing one major loss after another. In just three months, the situation has become so bad that he has lost all hope and to make things worse, he has given up and left everything including all the major decisions at his employees. As his father said, Ahmed sahab is not a strong or sensible man, he is crumbling under the pressure of circumstances. Instead of using his head and sharing his problems with Moeed or atleast calling Diam and checking if he can help, he is sitting home and waiting for a miracle.

While Baila was happily married and settled into her new life, at the end of the episode she and her in-laws family were in a car accident and it’s not hard to guess, the consequences would be disastrous. Moeed and Joya need an excuse to lash out at eachother, no matter how minor the problem. Joya found out she was expecting and that very day, they had an argument about where they wanted the child to be born, UK or PK ? And that, started another Cold War. I have a feeling soon these two will also be facing Karma.

Manaal’s life as expected hasn’t changed. Her in laws are suffocating her and she is doing everything she can to survive. It is no secret by now that Shuja and his father are after her property which she was supposed to inherit and they are forcing her to demand her share, this is one point where Manaal has taken a stand. In 3 months nobody from her mamoo’s family contacted her and likewise but now after hearing the false news of her mamoo’s illness, she is planning on visiting him. I don’t know how that will turn out but obviously it will set things in motion. Her mamoo felt guilty from day one and now after facing so many set backs, he might be willing to give Manaal a chance and hear her side of the story. I am not sure what will happen even if everybody finds out the truth now as Moeed and Joya are already married and so is Manaal.

So Diam has been setting his own business and he only recently found out about Baba Jaan’s death . He is feeling guilty and he wants to visit baba Jaan’s grave to offer Fatiha, since both the time of his visit and that of Manaal’s is the same I am hoping for them to come face to face…Kuch to kahani aagay barhay. But I am still at a loss to understand what does future have instore for Manaal as she is a married woman now and it is no secret that in our dramas ” achi larkeyaan talaq/khulla Nahi layteen ” ager un Ki shadi villain say bhe ho jay, to hero k pas wapis baywa ho ker hi aate hain ” . However, in this case, I wouldn’t mind if Shujat dies a slow and painful death.

Coming to Shujat, he is a complex character. He has grown up in a household where he has seen his mother being abused by everyone, family politics was at its best or should I say at its worst…all this has naturally affected his personality and unfortunately the effect has been totally negative. Having said that, I still can’t put up with his shouting and screaming and it doesn’t justify his behavior towards Manaal. If you ask me, his only purpose is to stress upon Manaal’s mazloomeyet.

27 episodes down, this is the story so far. I am hoping the story would be wrapped up by 30 episodes cause frankly there isn’t much scope left in it. The only thing left is for everyone to find out the truth about Manaal’s innocence, Diam to forgive himself, Shujat to die so Manaal can be reunited with her true love.
