The story hasn’t moved forward in the last two weeks. Manaal is now Mrs. Shujah and as expected, her circumstances have become even worse than the last time she was at her phoppo’s house. She is constantly being verbally abused by Saliha and her mother and verbally and physically abused by Shujah. All this has taken a toll on her mental condition and the girl who was once very vocal and aware of her rights is now putting up with all this in silence.
On the other hand, Moeed is now officially the worst ” cry baby ” on TV , so much so that his scenes are hard to put up with. He can’t get over himself and his constant ” rooti shakal ” is just too much. After Hamdaan Shah passed away and Diam disappeared, the family business has faced some serious set backs; Ahmed sahab is unable to handle it on his own and he is counting on Moeed to take over the business but Moeed’s only concern is to get away so he can avoid people and their questions.
You have to give Joya and Rahat credit, they played so well. They know exactly how to handle this bunch of lunatics and they are doing exactly just that. Ahmed and Musarrat are over the moon now that they have arranged Joya and Moeed’s wedding, again. Baila is also getting married, while this family is busy in trying to get their lives back on track, there seems to be no hope for their business’ future. I don’t understand why they are taking it so lightly ? They are focussed on getting everybody married left, right and centre as if that is the solution to all their problems. Now Joya has very tactfully convinced Moeed to move abroad after marriage and if he isn’t there to give his inexperienced father a much needed hand, I don’t see how their finances are gonna get back on track.
Diam finally made an appearance and his absence has been explained by his sharmindagi. I am not sure if he is aware of Hamdaan Shah’s death or not but either way cutting off all ties with everyone who knows Hamdaan Shah along with his office workers wasn’t a good idea to begin with. In this matter he is exactly like Moeed, both are trying to avoid the real problem.
By the look of things, it seems sooner or later Hamdaan Shah’s family is gonna have to contact Diam to come and take care of their business. Joya is trying hard to make sure Manaal doesn’t come back but the question is for how long ? Sooner or later Manaal or Diam are gonna come face to face with Ahmed and Musarrat and the truth will finally come out. I am just curious to know if that will happen before or after Joya and Mooed’s wedding.
As far as I am concerned Shuja and family are getting too much air time and I am getting tired of watching these ” cheekhtay chinghartay loag “. I would really appreciate it if somehow we could fast forward their scenes :) and move to some happier future episode. The sadness is getting a little too much for me .
When the drama started Manaal’s troubles started with it but there was hope, she was struggling and fighting for a better future, it was interesting to watch; now there is too much of Rona dhona. Instead of trying to come up with a way to make her life better and find a way out of her ” marriage from hell ” Manaal is trying to be a ” satti sawitri bahoo and biwi ” who puts up with all kinds of abuse without any protest and this is getting hard to watch. Also we already have too many of these bay-chari heroines so I would love to see the same old Manaal again soon.
