Ok, so this was a much more action packed episode in comparison with the past few weeks. Finally ghar main wo tufaan aa hi Gaya Jis ka Joya ko itni shiddat say intezaar tha. Moid finally told everyone he wasn\’t gonna marry Joya and as expected everybody was shocked but I was totally taken by surprise by Rahat\’s reaction.

Joya had clearly told Rahat she wasn\’t gonna marry Moid and she was interested in Zaid and thanks to their constant arguing Rahat ended up in the hospital with an angina attack. Even then when she heard Moid refusing to marry Joya, she didn\’t even think for a moment that maybe it was all Joya\’s doing. She should know her own daughter but not even for a moment did she doubt Joya, she didn\’t even ask her if she was the one responsible for all this. Instantly she started blaming everyone in the family left, right and centre, everyone except for her own daughter. Rahat had been a very strong personality through out the drama but now when she was denied what she wanted, at once she resorted to emotional blackmail and playing the victim card. \” main bay-chari, main baywa, baihn k dur pay parri, Mayri yateem bachhi \” etc etc.

It was very sensible of baba Jaan, the way he handled and analyzed the whole situation. The talk he had with Moid was also very well handled, it\’s good to see the elders in this family ( at least the men ) do not believe in emotionally blackmailing their children into relationships they don\’t want.

Despite baba jaan\’s, Musarrat and her husband\’s reassurances, Rahat\’s self pity knew no bounds. They constantly reassured her that Joya will be taken care of but these maa bayte are so full of themselves. The baray baray daway which Rahat did about finding a better match for her daughter than Moid and handling everything on her own were so immature and impractical. She knows too well her in-laws are not gonna help her, she has absolutely no financial assets to speak of and her only asset is her \” rishtay darri with Hamdaan Shah \”. To itni akar dikhanay ki Kya zaraaret hai ?

Now this is the one episode in which both mother daughter got the much needed reality checks. The way Zaid rejected, belittled and embarrassed Joya was a bit cruel but at the same time it was a much needed reality check. From day one both Joya and her mom have been taken everything Musarrat has done for them, for granted. Specially Joya has led a very protective life in her own bubble. This was the first time anyone showed her the other side of the picture, even though it was harsh but still it was the basic reality. She got rejected by Zaid, got home only to find out that Moid has also refused to marry her in accordance with her wishes. She is in a mess, let\’s see if and how she gets out of it.

Manaal didn\’t get much screen time this week but her silly activities are getting out of hand now. The tactics she is using to get Diam\’s attention are only gonna land her in trouble. The text she sent Diam, I thought she was gonna end up in big trouble after that but she got off the hook easily. Diam did lecture her on focusing on her studies but it could have been much much worse. I just hope the poor, love struck girl gets some much needed guidance before she does something totally crazy.

We got a glimpse of Shabnam and Liaquat and I have to say mayray dimag main khatray ki ghantiyaan bagnay laggi hain. Liaquat told Shabnam to ask Manaal and Hamdaan Shah to give Shuja a job and Shabnam actually started thinking about it. Now Shuja is one person I don\’t want to see anywhere near Manaal. If it were up to me, I wouldn\’t even allow him access to the same city as Manaal. But the way the story is progressing now, anything can happen. So if Shuja somehow again enters in Manaal\’s life, I am sure he will be up to no good. My only hope is, this time around Manaal will not be alone in facing him and she will get courage and confidence because of her family\’s backing and support.
