\” Aishariya Rai koi actress hai ya phir Shahzad Roi ki baihn !\” OMG Faiza Iftikhar how do you even come up with this kind of stuff, hilarious :)
Like the previous episodes this installment was also a perfect blend of drama and humor. Thoroughly entertaining and for me it ended too soon. The only development in terms of story\’s progression was Rahat\’s angina attack, other than that the pace is slow but I am enjoying each episode. As I always say, we understand the writers and directors are under pressure to stretch the play to make it 30 something episodes and we won\’t complain as long as you keep us entertained :). I am glad team KKG heard us ( I love to take credit where it\’s not due :D )
This episode started and again we saw a very confused and somewhat desperate Manaal still finding ways to Diam\’s heart. The conversation between her and Baila was just perfect. Two young and inexperienced girls trying to come up with ways to impress the mature, reserve and strict Diam sir.\” Zahanut un ki kamzoori hai … Aur Husan mayre taquat \”, poor Manaal. She is trying really hard to make an impression but somehow she always ends up saying or doing the wrong things when she is with Diam \” Aap ka favorite hero kyun hai, Salman Khan ? Shahrukh Khan acha Aamir Khan ?\” Diam\’s reply \” Quaid-E-Azam \”. Both Manaal and Sami Khan did justice to their scenes together, their expressions were priceless. The love struck Manaal trying to convey her feelings and the \” No nonsense \” kind of Diam sir, who has a \” strictly business \” type of attitude.
Baila is a true friend who tries to help Manaal even when she is not around to see it. She is a sweet, honest and loyal person but I cannot say the same for Joya. Through out this episode when she was looking after her sick mother, I kept thinking \” ok, maybe we will see a twist in the story now, maybe Joya will be a changed person after this ordeal \” but I guess that was too much expectation on my part. The meaningful look she gave Manaal when the silly, too sweet and friendly for her own good Manaal offered to help her was enough to say \” here comes trouble \”. Sundas Tariq doesn\’t let Joya become boring for one second. This girl likes to live life on her own terms and so far, she couldn\’t care less for what everyone around her was doing but now I think we will see a different Joya. One who will be using and manipulating others to get what she wants. I am so excited :)
Manaal is dropping hints about how she feels and I thought tonight she made it clear but still Diam either doesn\’t understand or he is deliberately pretending to not understand. My guess is he is trying to avoid any awkward situation but if he clearly draws the line once and for all, that would be the best idea, then Manaal would know clearly where she stands. But I am kind of glad he isn\’t, this way we will get to see Manaal and Baila come up with more amusing ideas .
Baba Jaan is still not ready to admit how much he misses his daughter and how much he loves Manaal. The ego or zid whatever you want to call it, is still a major factor. Naila and Karim are both dead, it\’s high time Baba Jaan should realize, he himself might not have enough time on his hands so better make his peace with his past and his present.
I am so mad at the people at Geo; this drama has so much to offer. It has a really good and realistic story-line, convincing performances, relatable characters, good direction and most of all it is funny without the slightest touch Of vulgarity. While most of our sitcoms and some drama makers are confused between humor and vulgarity, KKH knows exactly where to draw the line. Even then Geo has done such a poor job in the marketing department. The promos donot do justice to the potential this drama has. As far as I am concerned, it\’s a must watch.
Waiting for the next episode, do share you views.
